Looks like game over. NZ really look like the real deal.
You can target their 5th/6th bowlers but sides haven't done it or have let them get on top. Other than that, they have a solid team.

Too early to call. India hasn't been exposed yet this tournament and the batting has peaked early. Only time will tell of they peaked too early. It's the same team that wasn't settled only a couple of months before this tournament and weren't considered the favourites.NZ to lose to India in the final at this rate
T20WC 22, 21, WC19, CT17 all won by teams who easily could've been eliminated in the groups. Those are all the tournaments in the last 5-6 years I think.

All teams have played only 3 out of 9 games so basically round one of 3 is done. The round 2 will be dominated by another side and people will be calling them the favourites before they change their favourites again at the end pf round 3.
Read my post again. Both within a couple of months before the wc, not before that. Can't say the first paragraph is factual in anyway, there was actually a lot of stability in the Indian squad in the months leading up to the world cup, the first XI is the same first XI they had in the Asia Cup and series against Aus. Name one player who was a surprise inclusion. In terms of peaking early, India were 2 for 3 after 2 overs against Aus, how is that representative of a team who has peaked from a batting perspective?
I agree with the second paragraph.
Where is Shakib?! Sense another middle overs collapse incoming here.
He's gonna deny Kohli a centuryPerfect for KL. He can play for stumps and finish this on day 2.
He's gonna deny Kohli a century
Yup, fair pointWell tbf, Kohli was also playing for stumps in the middle of his innings.
He took it to another level. Embarrassing
Ye thought that was a bit silly. Thought Kohli was above that.Who was pissed off that we were playing for stats?
Can't say I was too appreciative of Kohli doing what he just did, really unprofessional and stupid when NRR is relevant in this situation.
Umpire not giving the wide was a bit strange.
A lot of players would have done that. It is perfectly fine. Umpire joining in is not something I like.To be fair, Kohli is not someone who usually plays for the century.
He spent the last 2 overs playing for his century. What did Kohli do? I just saw him not take a single and hit it for a 6 the next ball.. was that it or was there more?
edit: read the cricinfo commentary.. looks like he turned down a few singles in the last couple of overs.. but India also scored 30 off those 19 balls.. so hardly hurting the NRR ..
Good for him. the match was won anyway..
Exactly. He hardly slowed down the innings. Peope like to make a big deal of everything.People need to chill out. It’s a home World Cup in a packed stadium, India were cantering and everyone in the crowd wanted to see one of the greats score a century. Those few extra balls won’t make a difference to India’s final standing in the table.
That's not wrong at all at this point in time. Just hoping we get the ' collective bad day' out of the system during the league stage.https://x.com/yas_wisden/status/1715053046042951893?s=46&t=GNj8QSxKxM_pv7nv4TCn7A
If they don’t win this …
