Moenn and Wood have done well but the first eight overs were surprisingly erratic, Woakes has continued to be bad and Rashid went for runs too. Stokes was good up until that last over. It's all well and good shouting at a dreadful field but he has to accept the majority of balls in that over were misjudged.

Come on Archer, get yourself into the groove and take a wicket or two.

Yeah, but we're talking about a ground that regularly sees 400 scored, of course bowlers are going to go around the park. I don't think England have been exceptional with the ball, but they haven't been awful either.

That should be accounted for I agree. I wouldn't say the bowling's been utterly hopeless but stuff like Rashid bowling his googly with no long on in, some of the poor lines being bowled when coming short (in stark contrast to how right WI got it a few days ago) have been puzzling. I fully agree it's the fielding, Woakes and Buttler for the stumping aside, that has been the truly disappointing thing.

The way we've fielded, I wouldn't be taking any shots at the stumps if the opportunity arises.

Just keep hold of the ball. More chance of over throws than getting a run out
 
Awful. Why are you scrambling for twos in the 48th over? Pakistan need to learn how to pace their innings. Overs 11-20 were poor.
 
Nice one Woakes. If we get serious now on these new batsmen we could close the innings out nicely.

I'd think England would chase 349, but with the added pressure of it being a World Cup it'll be tough.

We were absolutely shocking in the field
 
I think we're 40 runs short on this wicket. Need early wickets to have a chance of winning.
 
I think this could be tough. A couple of cheap wickets early and we'll be right under the pump.
 
With that start should have hit around 30 runs more.
 
Amir needs to get a few early wickets for Pakistan to have a chance.

It is doable but anyone who thinks this is going to be easy against a mercurial Pakistan bowling attack in a World Cup is off their rocker. Will go down to the wire or England will collapse.

Pretty much. If this was a regular fixture, I'd back England all the way but chasing 350, a record score, in a World Cup match with them as favourites is insanely imposing. Not helpful that Jason Roy is probably significantly low on confidence right now.
