So much bitterness!Loving the bitterness in this thread.
Best one day team in the world has won the WC.
And? They lost one wicket in the super over. We didn't. Stop crying mate. It's getting ridiculous. It makes 0 sense. Surely, the winner should be the team who lost fewer wickets since thats the aim of the game.
Well done on finally winning a WC at Lord's. We did it about 36 years ago
You won feck all.
Can all the salty India fans let England enjoy their moment now.
Imagine the reaction on here if that deflected boundary happened to India. Absolute mayhem would’ve ensued.
I told ya .
eh - imagine being a NZ fan and you lost because Ben Stokes stuck his bat out and pushed it for a 4..
suck it up!
I'm an England fan, and probably in a minority of one right now. But it really turns me off when I see archer playing for England. The lad was born and bread in the West Inidies. That's where he learnt his cricket skills, yet here he is winning the world Cup for England.
It makes 0 sense. Surely, the winner should be the team who lost fewer wickets since thats the aim of the game.
It wasnt boundries because the commentators said England would win if nz scored 15. I know thats the rule, but they said it would be an england win before nz even started batting.Boundaries.
Could not care less.eh - imagine being a NZ fan and you lost because Ben Stokes stuck his bat out and pushed it for a 4..
This has been a long term project with a lot of planning behind it, England deserve all the plaudits.Still, credit to England for how they have changed their attuide to ODI cricket over the last few years. This is what happens, if you don't look down your nose at it.
I'm a Untied fan and saw Liverpool nearly luck their way to the PL and luck their way to CL after a bottlejob by Barcelona. Feck off with this "imagine how you would feel" bullshit. England won. NZ were excellent too. Its sport. Its fine margins.
Are England fans gonna enjoy this less because of what India fans are saying? You won feck all.
Can all the salty India fans let England enjoy their moment now.
2X World Champions
It's amazing how much change there has been. They used to be absolutely woeful at the one day game, now look at them. This has been a long term project with a lot of planning behind it, England deserve all the plaudits.
We still would of won then.Deciding the match on the basis of boundaries is stupid. Should have been standings or H2H.
It wasnt boundries because the commentators said England would win if nz scored 15. I know thats the rule, but they said it would be an england win before nz even started batting.
But who cares england won
Yes, I think so. But the ECB changed the rules and fastracked him to make sure he could play in the World Cup. It's not unsual for England though, we've always taken overseas players. I think it weakens world cricket when we do it.
The salt is everywhere.FFS let them have their moment. Indian fans
Not strange at all. A lad who learnt how to play cricket in the West Inidies system, has just helped England win. How much credit should I give them for that super over? You gotta be a certain kind of person, where England win a world cup in something, but you need to make note about how one of the players isn't English enough for you. Strange.
He's correct. The 50 over boundaries are included. It wasnt boundries because the commentators said England would win if nz scored 15. I know thats the rule, but they said it would be an england win before nz even started batting.
But who cares england won
what a random, bizarre post
Ohhhh thought the rule meant boundries during the super over.Boundaries during the 50 overs was how it was decided - shite as that is.
He's representing England under the ICC rules that apply to everyone. That's all there is to it.Not strange at all. A lad who learnt how to play cricket in the West Inidies system, has just helped England win. How much credit should I give them for that super over?
So England being aggressive with the bat worked.Ohhhh thought the rule meant boundries during the super over.
That is pretty shit, but again who cares
