Sri Lanka favourites as it stands, IMO. But they have only 3 batsmen. 3 wickets could pile massive pressure. Well, they have Mathews also, but he bats at 6 or so and there's a lot of pressure when he's in.

He said he was too slow and putting too much pressure on the rest of the England batting. Nick Knight also said he has been very slow throughout the tournament. I hate the way he plays his cricket.

I just think Indian batting is on another level - a great mix of experience and talented youngsters.
One day cricket has now changed. A strike rate of 81 is not good enough these days to win matches, especially when he's spending majority of the overs in the middle. It's proven to be the case with England winning very few games, and have just sneaked through to the knock out stages.
With Spoony on this, if NZ win the world cup I'd absolutely hate it

Pitch was never that slow. Besides English bowlers put much more pace on the ball. Morgan showed you could score quick runs when he came on. England just suffocated themselves by not going over the top in the first 15. You need to take risks at time.
This is all over...Nothing England tried, has come off. SL looking very comfortable, and weathered the early storm as it were pretty well.

Better bowlers and the Sri Lankan's willing to take risks helps. The pitch was never as bad as was made out during the England innings.
