ICC Cricket World Cup 2011

Question to India fans: How/when did Zaheer Khan become such a good bowler? What series or experience transformed him from the chap who got slapped by Australia in 2003 to becoming the ODI premier bowler on the world in 2011?
That season (or was it two?) with Worcestershire changed him totally as a bowler.

Poor old Sreesanth - really has had a terrible game and cant seem do do anything right. And even then, he has the audacity to be a mouthy so and so and have a shit haircut. Nothing likeable about him at all.

I really like the umpire review system - adds so much drama to the game. I think football would be enhanced with use of technology.

India look out of sorts here the last five overs. I m losing the good feeling I had 15 overs ago.

Jayawardena 100 off 84 balls. Best innings of the tournament IMO. Genuine class.

Sri Lanka putting the foot on the pedal at just the right time. India have suddenly lost all the composure and discipline that they had for the fist 40 overs.

This is not the score I had in mind when they started. Horrible finish from India. I doubt they can chase this total.

Sri Lanka 274 - 6. Inning closed.

In the end, a great innings from Sri Lanka worthy of being crowned world champions. Despite facing regular setbacks and an inspired Indian performance at the beginning, they never once panicked, backed their ability and paced the innings to perfection.

India will have to go and win this game by proving to the world that they do indeed have the worlds best batting line up. Time is over for petty boasts, claims and theory... India much vaunted and over paid batsmen need to man up and show us they are worthy to be world champions.

astonishing. He fell apart in that final over. Pressure is such an amazing thing.

Really superb powerplay though - I think that is one of the few times I have seen a batting side take advantage of it! I really think this could be an amazing final, especially if Tendulkar gets going.

Brilliant end to the innings! Perfectly poised match now.

what are you talking about ?

What part didnt you understand ?

Posters who are following cricket do not want to know any goings on in the united game because they want to watch it from the off after the cricket. So refrain from making any comments about the united game which you did which is why I'm guessing you're post was deleted.

grow a fecking pair...

With Malinga bowling, there is bound to be a wicket early on. Sehwag hardly gets going against big teams in big games. He may get starts but hardly a big score in an important game. I think the pressure at this stage might just get to the Indians.

There is confidence and then there is over confidence. You always seem overly confident despite the scoreline. I think you might be wrong this time.

I'm being a realist man. Just see off Malinga.

It's a great wicket for batting.

Thats seems rather odd...because one could watch it right now. by the time the games over you'll anyways know whether utd won or lost by reading the titles alone.

in anycase i wont be mentioning the utd game here...

If there are two bowlers Sehwag wouldn't want to face, they're there in the Sri Lankan team. Malinga and Murali.

You can't crash yorkers through the offside ring.

I would love to be proven wrong. If we are to win, I think Gambhir and Kohli will have to step it up, and of course Sachin.

Yes, but people are only following the WC final and then watching the recorded United game, deliberately avoiding the United score.

So if they had scored 250 we would have won ? if there bowling is so good then 25 runs shouldn't make a difference.
