ICC Cricket World Cup 2011

Well that was an eventful first over to say the least.

We most definitely need Sehwag to stay there for some time so he score quickly and run up the score.

This match is not critical in the grand scale of the WC.

Yeah but it will really help ease the pressure of India. If they win this, they will most definitely have four wins because they need to face the other two minnows in their group.

Dam he's gone :(

High time Sachin did something now. He's been poor so far.

So glad Sehwag's gone. If he'd batted for 25 overs it would have been game over. Good to see swanny getting some spin in his first over.

Next 15 overs will be singles time. Milk the bowling and preserve wickets.

I used to live in Trichy. I still have relatives in Chennai. I m moved to the US three years ago.

Ah, ok.

Well played, Sachin.

Gambhir's been flawless. I'm a big fan of him. Very under-rated.

How he made it to the final squad I'll never know.

When on form, he's one of the top 3 ODI batsmen in the world. They're sticking with him hoping he'll find his form. Hasn't played anything like he can for the past 12-16 months.

India will get well excess of 300 if they have enough wickets in hand for the final 10 overs. England have no chance of winning the 50 over version, they don't play much of it anymore overthere. They are far more formidable in the longer version..

His lackadaisical attitude towards the sport will never consistently keep him in the top 3 irrespective of his inherent talent. Should rather have gone for Raina, whatever little I have seen of him, he'd be a better bet in the subcontinent, off shore on greener patches, not so much.

He can bowl. Maybe they kept him in because he can used as an extra spinner along with Sehwag.

Again, I havent seen much of him bowling but I'd rate him equally alongside Raina in that department as well. So you dont lose anything as well.

Plus, IIRC, yuvraj used to be an excellent fielder, a department where he's slacked off, he's still good but not as good as he was.

EDIT : I read about Yuvraj gaining a lot of weight recently, is it true ?

Swann lol...that is what happens to supposed best spinners of world when they come to India.

Yuvraj's bowling is very good for a part-timer, JayWalker. Much better than Raina. And yes, he's a bit tubby.

Swann taking a bit of a tonking here.
