Might have some punishment coming my way guys.

Our records show that you haven't.

Have you even applied for your posting permit yet?

(1989)
Hectic was the debut EP by the seminal Ska/Punk band Operation Ivy. It is credited as one of the first records in the Skacore genre. First it was released by itself, then later released with their only LP Energy. Larry Livermore (founder of Lookout! records) has said that Lookout was formed solely to release an Operation Ivy record. This is obviously not true and was only said to emphasize Operation Ivy's importance in Lookout! Records' catalog.
Recording and style
According to Lookout!'s website, Hectic was recorded in a shabby recording studio on an Autumn afternoon. It was recorded and mixed in a matter of days. Hectic was one of the first records to combine Hardcore, and Ska, and one of the first, if not the first, Ska records to not include a horn section.
Influence
Hectic is often overshadowed by Energy, mainly because Hectic is included on the second release of Energy. However, Hectic is widely regarded as the first ska punk album.
Personnel
Jesse Michaels - Lead vocals
Tim Armstrong (credited as Lint) - Guitar, backing vocals
Matt Freeman (credited as Matt McCall) - Bass, backing vocals
Dave Mello - Drums, backing vocals
Operation Ivy and Larry Livermore - Producers
