Hectic, can you give me a list of current XBOX3 games you prefer. Also classify them as shooter, sports or any other genre they are from....

SO WHAT? NO FREAKING DAMAGE. No one has denied that it's not beautiful (all GTs are, even the PS2 GTs were better than any racing game on the Xbox) but that doesn't stop it from being a shallow car collector's game.

Of course it is. Can you confirm me if it will run at 30FPS or at 60FPS? Because if it is at 30...

Your greatness in ability to not play a game before yet actually know more about it than everyone else. I do not know about the frame-rate.

very informative thread ... nice one weaste o knowledgeable one, I like the way the xbox fanboy got wound up with you

Anyone seen the E3 news? Metal Gear Solid definitely a PS3 exclusive, and also a new game exclusively to the PS3 called HAZE. It sounds like a potentially good game.

Not really on topic here but I didn't think it deserved its own thread really.

I want to sell my 360 with some games (Lost Planet, Dead Rising, FEAR, Arcade Unplugged, and Gears of War). Plus two controllers.

How much do you think I'd get for it?

I'll take it for a descent price ...

A grand?

Nah lol I'm gonna bang it on ebay I reckon, I'm not totally sure yet. If I do, I'll be posting the link here so keep an eye out for it. Thanks for replying mate.

So... I'm a fanboy but Weaste is the knowledgeable one. Why don't you call as both fanboys? Anw. I'm not a fanboy, I'm just stating the facts. When PS3 proves itself I will buy it, not what fanboys do. And yes, I didn't like the word fanboy as being a fanboy of a PLC is just stupid.:nono:

wind your neck in mate, awfully defensive aren't ya? Me and Weaste are in similar fields, what do you do?

To be fair, the PS3 hasnt quite taken the world by storm has it?

So being a computer scientist means that those who support a different opinion are fanboys? Well done smart ass. Oh and btw I'm 17.

Wow!

When's it out?

Games like that, along with a few more good exclusives would be enough to get me buying a ps3. Any more good exclusives in the works?

In 2008. Metal Gear Solid 4, Haze and Unreal Tournament(time exclusive). This are some of them. Of course the 360 has many exclusives as well and it has had great game from launch...

People are looking forward to that?

Definitely.

MGS 3 is probably the best video game ever, imo.

Although I can see why it has its detractors over the number of cutscenes it uses. However, to claim that the game isn't deep and engaging is bollocks.

I've always hated it. The first one was good, but the others have been average at best. MGS is exactly what I mean, when I say. . .same old, same old. I just find it hard t believe people are getting excited over games like this. 10 years down the line, we'll have MSG 11 on the PS6.

It all depends on what rocks your boat doesn't it? There is a finite number of genres you can have, once they have all been done it's just messing around with them isn't it? No different to films. Only once in a while does someone come up with something different.

I like this Little Lost Planet thing or whatever it's called.

Yes. Hollywood. They keep churning them out because they've got a huge market(fanbase), whereas originality is more of a risk. That's really my beef. Personally, I can't play the same game over and over again, albeit with different graphics. I have the same problem with Pro Evo. I've exhausted that franchise, no amount of new tweeks will make it as fresh as it was a decade or so ago. The only gaming franchise I'll probably bother with is. . .is probably GTA.

It's going to be the last in the franchise Spoony, which makes me even more excited about the game.

It's not really same old. There's so much more you can do in MGS 3 actually if you bothered. The Close Quarter Combat is brilliant in it. You can do so many different things to the enemy and the stealth gameplay is even more immersive since you do not have a radar. The bosses are great too.

Seeing that you are a bit of a movie buff yourself, the story in MGS 3 is really really good. If you haven't played it yet I recommend it, just make sure you learn the CQC moves in detail before you play it. It's brilliant I'm telling you.

Little Big Planet?

That looks amazing. It breaks the boundaries in a way because some of the objects you can create within the level are superb, and the physics are mindblowing. I'm really looking forward to this game.

And I agree that MGS 2 wasn't as great as the other 2 because it was somewhat similar to the MGS 1, with updated graphics and a new storyline.

You don't need to play it to enjoy MGS 3, since it's a prequel to both games.

Yes, very innovative. By all accounts it looks a better game than Steven Spielberg's Blocks actually.
