Meh. I thought Mata was quite average last game so I'm disappointed Miki didn't get the start.

Smalling, Herrera, Rashford, Mkhitaryan, Young, Schneiderlin is a strong bench to have.

Would've been harsh to drop anyone apart from the undroppable so it makes sense to name an unchanged side after 8 days between games. Hope to see more of Mkhitaryan here, I have my hopes that he'll start against City after the break but we'll see.

Is that the strongest bench we have ever had in a leaguematch ? 5 of those outfield players would walk into 80% of all other teams in the league

Unchanged. Really expected Mkhi to start this one.
Me too. Looks like Jose predictions will become easier. Most likely won't start tinkering until after we play City in two weeks. Makes sense really.

    HULL'S LINE-UP
Hull: (number order) - Jakupovic, Robertson, Davies, Meyler, Huddlestone, Hernandez, Snodgrass, Clucas, Livermore, Diomande, Elmohamady.

Subs: Kuciak, Maguire, Bowen, Olley, Clackstone, Hinchliffe, Maloney.

'Players will be questioning their futures'
No surprise that United are unchanged. Mourinho will argue that he doesn’t have to change a winning team and he’s right. Not great news for Jones, Depay, Carrick or Rojo. Not only aren’t they in the squad, but they haven’t travelled to Hull, either.

With the exception of Carrick, they will be questioning their futures with four days before the transfer window shuts. They are all internationals but it’s going to be difficult to play for their countries if they can’t get a game at club level. Wouldn’t be surprised if there were bids made for Jones and Depay before Wednesday.

It's a long ol' season. Everyone will get games, Jose said exactly that after the Southampton game.

They will, but Memphis is already out of the Dutch squad. You wonder if it affects their international future they might ask to leave.

    LIVERMORE AT THE BACK
Jake Livermore is continuing to operate at centre-half due to Dawson, Alex Bruce and others being out. Tom Huddlestone will attempt to pull the strings as usual.

Can't argue with him keeping the same team each week. There's no reason to rotate yet.

Not sure people will agree with this.
Mourinho deserves credit for overlooking Mkhitaryan'
Unless Mourinho is saving Henrikh Mkhitaryan for the derby after the international break I cannot imagine that the Bundesliga Player of the Year last season will be too chuffed that his debut could be in the Europa League or maybe even Northampton away in the League Cup. But you have to take your hat off to Mourinho for his explanation that just because he has bought a player he doesn’t have to prove he was right by playing him straight away.

I should have known Mourinho wouldn't make any changes, he's known for playing his first 11 relentlessly. Interesting that Young gets in ahead of Memphis again.

I like Mkhi too but the nuthugging over him is getting annoying, its like people can't see the merit in not changing a winning team.

Mata still on, what is going on? :) anyway United needs to score, score and score today, Chelsea and City are being dangerous already.

There's merit to improve whenever it's possible. What people fail to realize is that Mata is a fantastic player and Mourinho likes him currently.

Anyone know a good place to watch United in Belfast? Am in the city centre now!

He seems to just want to work with those 18 players at the moment for the PL. Everyone else will need to scrap it out in the cups.
