Never thought Rashford wouldn't be used as a substitute on a regular basis. I guess it's a combination of Ibrahimovic needing the whole game and Mourinho being cautious.
After the latest comments it seems we only have Ibra and Rashford as Mou's options up front.

Got all 11 right, which is very good because it means Jose knows his first XI, something LvG never seemed to manage.

It does start at 17:30 though...

edit: your an hour ahead of BST I take it

Yes exactly. Had to go and do other things for an hour, but now i am as exited as I was an hour ago. Hopefully United win with 3-0 and Zlatan scores all of them.

Rooney interview on now. Says Jose doesn't over complicate things (shades of Fergie there).

Told you Mata's playing really well these past two games, but some people will never realise he's playing well as long as he doesn't scores 2 goals per game.

It feels good to have a consistent starting eleven.
To be fair we had a pretty consistent starting 11 during the latter half of last season where we finally stopped getting so many injuries. I remember everyone racking up the points in the prediction league.

So that's exactly the same starting line up as our last game?
That's pretty much what we should expect of a Jose team.
Low injuries. Continuity. No tinkering (unless necessary). As long as we are winning this builds morale.

In our treble winning season, once we were in our title and FA Cup run-in, we were playing pretty much the same players.

Not sure we're not going to see other players (Memphis, a youngster… even Martial?) in Europa League and League Cup games.

    So no processes or philosophies?

Touch of a Cloughie there, get the ball and play
Yep, but I think all the best managers have that approach. Just trust the players and don't overdo it on ideology. I know Cruyff, Pep, etc, have a philosophy, but they were also pragmatic, and that pragmatism is essential.

Our chance to pick off Hull and City and create a bit of space at the top over the next few weeks. Just need to shake off Chelsea now. Come on United. Nothing but a victory will do.

I expected very few changes, if any, so this doesn't really surprise me, despite being a bit frustrating. But I can see the logic in not changing a winning line-up, particularly with the international break (urgh!) coming up. I expect we'll see more 'tinkering' between matches after the international break. But even then I wouldn't expect Fergie levels of changes.

    Spot on.

    Busby had it too

Pretty sure when a pro compliments Rooney 75% of the caf grimaces

If Livermore is indeed playing CB expect Ibra to get a couple of goals. He will bully the shit out of him.

Who at least knows how to defend as opposed to a winger who believes his own hype

I kinda prefer my wingers to be good at attacking first and foremost, not that I care about Young or Memphis, just thought Jose had plans to try and get more from him given what he said.
