Hulk on the move again?

Perhaps it was a toss up between nani and hulk? Glad they've got hulk instead.

Can't believe it will be 76 million euros, that's insane and I'm sure we'd accept a reasonably lower proposal.

Nevertheless it's likely to be the biggest transfer in Europe this year and the biggest ever from a Portuguese club.

A bit disappointed that he's going to Russia, I'd love to see him play in the Premiership so that people could understand what the "hype" is all about. All this means is that I'm unlikely to ever see him play again regularly, except for the odd European game.

A bit concerned how it will affect us in the pitch, specially with this awful coach we have. Hulk has been solving and hiding a lot of inadequacies in our play for the past year. We'll probably have a lot of weaknesses exposed.

Financially anything above 50 will be outstanding and extremely important for our stability.

If they're offering £60m we should take the money and run.

Zenit, drawn in Champions League Group C along with AC Milan, Anderlecht and Malaga, will be able to use both players in Europe's premier club competition.

"We were trying to sign them before the Sept. 3 deadline for the Champions League so they can play for us in that competition as well as the Russian league," Tsimmerman said.

Surely they won't sign Nani now if he's unable to play in the champions league.

Hmmm...how will Zenit fans respond to this? Thought they wouldn't allow the club to sign black players, or do Hulk and Witsel not count cos they're half?

They will probably never be heard of again. Can't remember many players going there and jumping to a bigger league. It's like a graveyard for footballers.

It's official. Porto got 40 million Euros for the 85% of the player that belonged to us, with Zenit being responsible for other fees.

So in total they must have paid more than 50 million Euro for him.

For us, good financially, a disaster footballing wise.

It's a sideways move for him and he'll probably never get to play in a top league for a top club now seeing as he's 26 and will probably sign a 5-year deal which will take him into 30s. A bit dumb even if it's just for money, he's just decided to waste his career.

I don't think he's very happy, he was probably pushed out as we needed the money. His dream was the Premiership.

WTF are Zenit at, thats crazy prices at super Zenit Prices

So don't you miss it

Bonkers :wenger:

You know what worries me? With all of these crazy prices spent on Hulk and Witsel they supposedly only offered 25 million for Nani? Are they fecking serious?

Not sure that neither Hulk or Witsel are white enough for Zenit. I don't expect Witsel especially to last long there. As a semi-black man he really should know better than to join them.

Scary crap - police just confirming that his sister was kidnapped in Brazil.

Campina Grande Police have confirmed that Hulk's sister, Angelica Aparecida Vieira, 22, was kidnapped around 2pm Brazilian time.

Watching Zenit-CSKA on ESPN just now and he has been woeful. All he's done is give the ball away and run into defender and get tackled. Commentator saying he hasn't scored since against Milan on the 3rd of October which is pretty poor. Disappointed Chelsea didn't get him. What an overrated, waste of money.

I am sure the recent kidnapping of a loved one while he is on the other side of the world has no bearing on his form currently.

Not to be a cnut but if that is having a bearing on his form he shouldn't be playing.

The kidnapping was solved some time ago already. A local politician was involved, trying to pay some campaign debts. Awful story, but I think it all turned out well.

In regards to Hulk, I feel sorry for him, I have no doubt he would be playing a lot better at Chelsea. He didn't really wanted to go to Russia and was kind of pressured into it by the club. He's probably low on motivation, and I don't think the environment at Zenit is very healthy at the moment, I've heard that a lot of the older players created problems with the new signings. I don't think it's the best place to judge his worth, not at all, lower level than Porto.

Such a shame, and a wasted career. Well, not wasted, but won't have the pinnacle I expected. Porto's interests spoke higher. I personally wouldn't mind receiving less 10 or 15m and having him go to the Premiership, I think he deserved that.

That said, I don't even know if that was really ever an option. Anyway, with the current financial situation the club would never accept.

Hulk: I've received offers from Chelsea & Tottenham
Zenit St Petersburg striker Hulk has claimed that Chelsea and Tottenham have submitted offers in an attempt to bring his services to the Premier League.
The Brazilian striker, who has recently represented Brazil in the Confederations Cup has been attracting transfer interest all summer, with Chelsea being heavily linked following Jose Mourinho's appointment at the club earlier this month.
And Hulk has grown increasingly frustrated with his career in Russia, following a series of incidents since his arrival from Porto in 2012.
In the same month in which he arrived at Zenit, media speculation reported that fellow teammates Igor Denisov and Alexandr Kerzakhov were angry at Hulk's sky-high wages in comparison to the rest of the squad.
Hulk has also fallen out with coach Luciano Spalletti during his time at Zenit and had expressed his desire to leave.
Speculation has remained strife regarding his potential whereabouts this summer despite the fact he resolved his differences with the coaches.
And in a radio interview in Brazil, Hulk was adamant that move Mourinho and Andre Villas-Boas had made strong approaches for his services this month.
"These approaches do exist. There are lots of clubs interested in me though.
"Zenit is a great club, but if I do go I want to move to a better place, with a better team in a better competition," Hulk said.
Whoever wins the race to sign the striker will be expected to be a high fee in order to secure his services, after Zenit paid nearly £50million for his services in 2012.
Despite this, Zenit are reported to be willing to sanction his sale, if the offer is right.
Chelsea are the favourites in the race for his signature but the lure of working under former Porto boss Villas-Boas could be enough for Tottenham to secure the signing of the Brazilian international.

Nearly £50 million :wenger:

Which complete idiot thought that was a good idea?

He pretty much is what we tried to sign with Bebe, a big unit who hits the ball hard, only 10× the price.

Surely Zenit won't want to make a loss on him, and only a mental club would spend that kind of money on him. He'll be at Chelsea.

I'm sure I read somewhere that some Russian clubs are seriously struggling financially, even the big ones. Wouldn't surprise me to see him sold for £25 million plus some of the fans have never taken to him. Can't see him at Chelsea. Asides from being a unit, he isn't very good and I'm sure Mourinho realises that plus we have lukaku. Spurs on the other hand. They need a striker and he did well under AVB previously.

Spurs would not even remotely consider spending "£25 million plus" on Hulk.

Reported by Metro that a deal with Monaco as been done for £52mil. If true that's just crazy.
