How would you feel if Rooney smashed it at Everton?

That is a lot of rubbish I don't know where to begin with, Rooney stank the place? That same place was made a shithole by two shocking to mediocre appointments post Fergie, not because of Rooney. In Moyes's and LVG's first season Rooney was probably the best player in a squad full with average players, he stank feck all, it was shitstorm not because of him.

Rooney didn't slag the club, he negotiated for a better contract by questioning the club ambition (you see stuff like that regularly by every player worth something countless examples of Messi, Ronaldo, Aguero, Hazard and god knows who else), and lets not rewrite history, back then Rooney was among if not the best player in the league. Ronaldo on the other hand openly talked garbage of how he wanted to leave, the Blatter stuff and how he was treated like a slave, then you can remember his slimy reaction and how he contributed to Rooney's sending off. There are lots of examples of fan favorite Ronaldo disrespecting our club and acting like a hypocrite he is, up till the summer he flirted with the club's name to get reassurements from Madrid, yet all the hate goes to our true Legend and the guy who will go in the history book as our record goalscorer.
This is one thing I frequently point out in Ronaldo threads and just never understand. Ronaldo's behaviour was utterly atrocious that year or two. It's all well and good to force your way out of the club and then speak well about it but his attitude when he was here was horrendous and he really embarrassed the club with the way he behaved.

Forget United for a bit. Ronaldo isn’t a bad guy away from the field, a bit self indulgent - I’ll grant you that but Rooney is a proper twat. I can’t stand the bloke.

What has Rooney done away from the pitch and Ronaldo hasn’t that shocked you so much?

Getting paralytic while captain on national team duty? Shagging a middle aged prostitute while his wife was pregnant with his first child? Shagging a cheap tart while his wife was pregnant with his second? Drink driving with some cheap tart he’s pulled while his wife’s pregnant with his fourth?

Let’s be super generous and give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that the only time he’s acted this much of a cnut is the times he’s been caught shall we? Plenty enough to make him an absolute scum bag.

Can you also not stand Ryan Giggs and have similar sort of hatred for him?

I’ve said many times I think he’s a piece of work. I can somewhat seperate the legend from the person like I can with Rooney but you’re going to be upset if you think I’m going to give him some sort of pass like the scousers give Gerrard and the Chavs give Terry.

And Saint Ronaldo has been the epitome of how you treat women, hasn't he? Or you missed the number of times he's been reported of dating several of them in the same time? Or how he treated the mother of his son when he took the kid and paid her? Than you have the tax fraud case, and how he handled it even using our name to pressure Perez. There are number of other cases when he has acted like a bellend, you just won't condemn him.

I think the difference between Ronaldo and Rooney is his total and utter dedication to his trade and to be the best.

When they were both young at United, Rooney was arguably ahead of Ronaldo. Rooney should have been up there with Ronaldo and Messi challenging for the Ballon d'or, not having a piss up and a sneaky fag round the back of the bins.

All got a bit personal it seems but feck me .. 10 goals and in the Top 10 scorers in the PL is pretty damn good going by Xmas for a player, discarded by United as being over the hill, in a shite team (even if that does include penalties).

United fan here, but lets be real: Gerrard hasn't done anything anywhere near as bad as Giggs, Terry, Rooney etc.

Sometime we let blind hatred mask the truth. Gerrard hasn't been caught cheating or the like and in all honesty doesn't seem like a bad human.

Also, whilst Rooney has made many mistakes - he gives so, so much to charity. Yesterday he donated 750K to a children's hospital - thats a fair amount of money even for him.

Giggs on the other hand has made mistakes that dwarf anything done by Rooney, cheating on your OWN brother is on another level.

If I had to rank them on the disgustingness of their behaviours:

Giggs/Terry (Worst)
......
......
......
.....
Rooney
......
......
.....
Gerrard

Nothing really, just the phrase is seemingly popular on the net, and as the word smash is in title, used that in silly post.

Also, no women in Chelsea first 11.

I never thought I'd be saying this but I kind of wish we kept him now. He might have been a good player to bring off the bench.

We had him coming on off the bench last season, he was still awful.

He did score in one match last season coming off the bench to get us a point at Stoke (Can't remember if he got any other goals off the bench apart from that)This season he just looks fitter and has got some of that fire back in him which made him so good. We are lacking leaders in the squad currently, apart from Carrick and Ibrahimovic we don't really have anyone who comes close.

If Rooney had stayed at United he would have continued to be just as poor as he had been for the last few years, I am pleased he is doing well with Everton though.

This is such a load of crap, even if the potential is true, it's irrelevant. Rooney is England and United top goal scorer.

I'd say he has had a vastly successful career. Any more and he might think its not worth it for the life trade off. Ronaldo seems a bit of a recluse with little personality at times.

Put your frustration at someone like Ravel Morrisons, but effort wise it's a bit rich to criticise Rooney. I bet you don't work half as hard as he has!

I agree with this, it has always been a pet peeve if mine when it comes to Rooney. He obviously works very hard and has a passion for the game but even if he doesn't work as hard as Ronaldo people don't realise that being able to live the way Ronaldo does and having that obsession is a gift in itself which some just don't have.

People talk as if there are thousands of other players out there who work the way Ronaldo does, there aren't.

Brilliant stuff. Well done, Wayne.

Cracking. He was always doing with with MUDSA and has always been very philanthropic off the pitch.

He makes that much in what, 2 1/2 weeks?

Funny, I don't see other celebrities giving out 750K like this.

There are plenty of other rich people in the world, businessmen, actors, singers etc - they're not all as generous as Wayne. This incessant need to bring Rooney down should stop.

You have no idea how generous 'other rich people' are because not all of them feel the need to publicise it when they donate significant amounts of money to charity.

You have no idea how generous Rooney is on top of this (which is being done to raise awareness of the charity he's donating to in the hope others come forward and put some money towards the charity).

Seriously, he could have got publicity giving away much less than that, so this idea Rooney is doing it for any other reason other than it's a nice thing to do is coming from a bitter place.

Correct, I don't. I am also not the one stating that 'other rich people' aren't as generous as Rooney.

That's a wonderful gesture, that. Fair fecks to him.

It’s the Wayne Rooney Foundation - a combination of tax breaks and fund raising. I’m more impressed by a bloke off the street dipping his hand in his pocket and putting £20 to charity. Humbug.

Grey text.

Ya I never got that. Big applause for people donating other peoples collected money.

I didn't read the article but it does mention £750k whereas the picture shows £250k. Perhaps Rooney donated £500k himself, if so well done.
