He plays like he's running through mud.
It was Anfield in fairness, and it’s more shit than mud but hey.. you gotta do what you gotta doHe plays like he's running through mud.
Another goal for brother Wayne. Scored more goals already than he did for us last year.
53 behind Shearer for all-time Premier League scorer. Would have smashed that if it wasnt for his injuries.
One probably doesnt happen with out the other in fairness. Breaking his football every other year and getting dragging to tournaments when he should be rehabing is why he's playing at Everton age 31.Or being shit for the last 3 years.
9 PL goals now
Really hope he gets to around 20 goals for the season which is 8-9 goals away and doable. For a free transfer, that would be great for Everton.

Am I the only one who finds posts like this an absolute pain in the hoop? Why the hell would anyone be pleased if Everton get a great deal on a free transfer for a player we let go?
And paid half a year of his contract to get rid of. If he starts turning up for Everton it’s more shame on his disgraceful showings for us over the last 3 seasons.

Some people here were always Rooney fans more than United fans, so it's no wonder. It's actually embarassing to support Everton because their fans laughed at us during the Moyes period, so hoping they get relegated would be far more sensible to do than to support them or any of their players, at least as an United fan.
Fair feck to you though, thought you were one of biggest Rooney fanboys while he was here but your comments on him since he signed for Everton are spot on, regarding both his transfer and performances. I have no idea how can anyone who watched him once this year say he is great fir Everton, he is probably even worse than he was here last few years.

From what I’ve seen he’s been no better at Everton so that’s neither here nor there. I just find it weird when fans get so besotted with individual players that the love affair continues when they’ve playing at other clubs. A) because who gives a rat’s arse about players at other clubs and B) the better their career after leaving us the more doubt it casts on our decision to let them go.

Nonsense. He has scored a number of decisive goals for them this season, including today. That is a good performance from a forward.
They were fighting relegation just few weeks ago, and he was one of their worst players during that period. He was always going to have period of couple of good games, but this will end pretty quickly, as it always does with him. He is one of the main reasons Everton were appaling in first few months, was dropped because of that, and he is probably their highest paid player.
Who here is doing that? Being delighted that he's doing well at his new club = supporting new club?!

We'd be way worse with Rooney in it unfortunately. Lukaku, despite his shocking touch, does bring us a lot more pace.I'm happy we got rid but let's be honest, would we be any worse off with him in the side instead of Lukaku?
I've not really watched his performances so no idea how his touch etc have been but yeah, he's definitely scored decisive goals and not just consolations and/or 4th goals in a rout. He's got them points at the Etihad and Anfield, winner against Stoke, 1st goal and a hat trick in a 4-0 win and the winner today. That's a lot of important goals and points there.Nonsense. He was dropped by the interim manager wasn't he? The guy who lost every game until it was confirmed that he was gone?
That is a good performance for a forward for Everton.
Rooney's performances would have him benched if he was still here, and then he wouldnt be able to get a run of games that he usually needs because of his poor fitness.
Have you watched him play this season?
Our books are pretty different then. I want my favorite player and all time top scorer to continue to do well (irrespective of where he'd gone unless it were a rival) and hopefully get closer to beating Shearer's record. I don't care if Everton get relegated or finish in the Europa, I'm glad he's doing well and hope he continues to.Hoping Everton player scores 20 goals for, and saying it would be a great for Everton is pretty much called supporting Everton in my book.

Have you been following Everton games to see how he plays? If yes, you're a bigger Everton fan than me then.Have you watched him play this season?
What do you make of Lukaku then? He's been putting in largely abject showings aside from scoring goals.
I can't agree with that. Lukaku was instrumental in the Arsenal win and has been working his arse off during his goal drought. He has been improving other areas of his game which is what I would expect from a him so he can become an all round CF.
The only abject performance from Lukaku was the City game. Other games he's been a mixture of satisfactory to good.
Nah I started supporting United because of Ruud. Was as big a Ruud fanboy as I'm of Rooney.

You really think that Lukaku was good tonight aside from the goal?
