Hirving Lozano | PSV Player

Can't comment on the guy quality/potential, as I can't even notice him when he played in last year Copa and this year Copa, just saying he will need plenty of luck to even show his real potential. Why? Statistically, he has played an insane amount of games, then goes to Copa and Olympic. PL is the most physical and fitness demanding league too.
Statistically he's improving at club level. Didn't notice him in the Copa as well. From the videos seems to have very good close control and keeps the ball close to him. Decent burst of pace as well. On the flip side he looks lightweight and the defenders look a bit crap with little to none physical presence.

From my understanding, there are two different 'Players Player of the Year' awards. Aubameyang won one, Mkhitaryan won the other. The actual official Player of the Year isn't done for another couple of months so nobody has won that one yet.
Talking about Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan in the Lozano thread?

Mkhi won the Players player of the year and Aubameyang another one, probably the journalists and coaches player of the year.

Why make something up?

He did come third which is good :)

I think Mourinho expects wingers to be able to dribble past the player rather then dive or cross their way out. That's bad news for Lingard, Young and Valencia

I do not know anything about him, and have never heard of him. But we should get him because:

- He got a great YouTube compilation
- Porto is interested, which automatically means that he will be valued at 5-10x todays purchase prize in a few years time

Edit: I might also add that he will give us great exposure to the Mexican market, and the huge Mexican-American market in the US. This way we can continue to win on our preferred arena these days, the commercial arena.

So you got your 11'th CL, Real? Well, guess who just got a new tortilla sponsor!
:lol::lol::lol:

So according to his father "everything is done" despite him also insisting"a few details need to be resolved"

Makes sense.

Has Jose spent much time in mexico over the last year?
Or is he scouting players off you tube vids
Or is it more likely our scouting network and board are the main people behind the move (and does that mean another bebe:nervous: )
Looks good on you tube clips - but Depay was supposedly nailed on so if we get him I am not going to expect much in his first season - though if course it would be nice to be (pleasantly) surprised

I hope he is given a chance when he joins and isn't immediately loaned out. I would like to see a front four of:

Lozano Mkhitaryan Martial
Zlatan

A pretty balanced side if you ask me.

god knows. Mou had a couple of months of doing absolutely nothing. He's a football man and so are his people. I wont be surprised if Chelsea's scouts were tracking him at the same time we did.

Valencia a RB, and the other two are not good enough, even as bench warmers, if we want to win important titles.

Well it definitely seems like a goer doesn't it? Additional attacking options is away handy.

Why are you throwing him into the starting lineup? Have you ever even watched him. There's more chance of Lingard starting than this lad going straight into the team.

I guess this means the end of Depay. What a waste imo, he should get another year at least.

I guess work permit may play a part in that?
Not sure what the fee / wages are but its quite possible he is going to struggle to hit the points criteria

We'll just have to trust the scouts on this. He's an unknown player. As long as the fee is low its worth a gamble. Another one just like Varela, Henriquez, Diouf among others in recent years.

Totally agree. I think it's utter madness that he's getting thrown on the scrapheap already. There's clearly something there, and to toss him aside based on last season where barely anyone came out of it with much credit is a woeful decision. Same goes for Morgan.

I should have made it clearer that I want to see that lineup for maybe one game to see what he's like In a United shirt.

30 goals and something like 20 assists from the wing in his final PSV season. Avergae league yeah but at his age, it should surely be enough to gamble on him for another year.
It fecking sucks really, no doubt the likes of Valencia, Fellaini and Young will still be here though.

well in fairness i cant see many clubs queuing up to give us a transfer fee and match their wages... wouldn't be surprised if we end up trying to loan out a few players this year and possibly having to pay a % of their wages as well in the hope that with regular games they find some form and attract some bids

Mourinho is a known Football Manager abuser(one of AVB's jobs when on his staff was to look up transfer targets in FM*), Lozano is a top Football Manager wonderkid. :smirk:

*Admittedly probably more for past season stats than how they were rated.

imo Depay needs and deserves another shot at United, he definitely has the talent. Can't say the same about the likes of Young, Valencia & Fellaini though. I think Lozano would be a nice addition to the squad since he possess a real close control of the ball, he's lightning fast (although he will definitely struggle on the physical matter) and he is a very versatile player, he plays in both wings and can actually get past defenders AND has a good cross. Also, he can play as a traditional winger on a 4-4-2 but also is effective on a front 3 approach as his finishing is actually decent.

 did he gouge its Is and cross its Ts?

Said it at that the end of the season that Mourinho won't have time for Depay. If we sign this guy, I expect him to move ahead of Depay in the squad pretty quickly. Press saying we are going to pay £15m. That's a first team signing, he isn't going on loan.

Don't think this will greatly affect Depay NI reckon Lozano will come for the right side. Not as if we'd see Martial or Memphis on our right do you.

I'm surprised that a lot on here have written off Memphis so quickly. We spent a decent amount of money on potential and it was spoken about when he arrived that the first season would be an adjustment.

I don't think this would spell the end for him as Lozano can play down either flank so would be backup to Mkhitaryan on the right. I would see it a more of threat to Lingard and Valencia (can't see Valencia playing RB under Mourinho as a liability defending).

If thats true (which you would hope it is), why get rid of him after 1 dodgy season?.
Hopefully its just media bollocks.

This looks more and more likely to happen with Pachucha confirming negotiations. Very interesting signing if it happens.
