Hirving Lozano | PSV Player

Good luck getting playing time for him at City. Good player, but not good enough to challenge for a consistent place in the side for an attack as deep as City's.
Oh I agree! My response was more to wanting Lozano over Perisic. He's nowhere near the level of Perisic currently and how best case scenario for Lozano is reaching a level similar to Perisic.

So, now Perisic has become the standard for comparing wingers? This Kid's talented, probably the best prospect in Mexico. He is much more skillful and prolific(albeit in a lower league) than Perisic. That being said, he is going to waste his career going to $hity.

Another case of a greedy agent perhaps, misleading the young talents. These sort of farming the talented youths, started by Chelsea and now continued by City needs to be stopped urgently before it spoils numerous prospective careers.

Well if you say I prefer this player over the other doesn't it make sense to compare them?

I get that, but I think the poster was simply voicing his preference for a winger who has a different style of play than Perisic. Perisic, if he comes, may or may not succeed in PL, but the fact will remain that he is just an average winger, not even prolific but one who will diligently carry out Jose's instructions.

For e.g. Marcos Alonso was the part of a title winning team, but as an individual, he couldn't be compared to FBs like Marcelo, Alaba. His success would mainly be attributed to the tactics of Conte.

They already messed Patrick Roberts about I hope they don't get their hands on Lozano too.

Don't disagree with you there. My point is Lozano's ceiling is just that, an average to good winger. Thus I don't see why someone would prefer him to someone who is already at that level and can provide an impact now. If we were discussing say Dembele prior to his Dortmund move then I'd agree, why go for Perisic when the other guy has world class potential but I just don't see that in Lozano.

What happend to him? Wasnt he touted as the next big English player?

Yeah he was, the best talent of his year group in the country, think United had an eye on him but ultimately City made their move and got him which, as expected, hasn't gone as he probably thought it would.

Just had a solid season at Celtic supposedly.

Yep he had a really good season and their fans are desperate for him to stay permanently and there's rumours that he might. I hope it happens and that he develops further because he's still got time on his side.

My point exactly nice one, I don't feel like Perisic has what it takes to set that right wing on fire. Lozano, on the other hand, seems like he has the potential to.

Bollocks. This kid has immense potential. And anyone who's watched him play regularly can attest to that. There's a reason why scouts from England all the way down to Spain are eager to get their clubs to sign him up.

He might as well be the next Tosic. Truth is no one in here knows, but plenty to hype him up simply because they're not hot on Perisic.

I've seen a fair bit of him (I watch a bit of Mexican football) and he's one of the more talented players in the league especially around that age bracket. I think if he came to England now he'd struggle tremendously, but if he went somewhere else (like PSV for two years as is suggested) he could develop into a very good player in the league but nothing more. He doesn't have "World Class" potential, but he could be a solid player probably the level below what caliber of players should be starting on the type of team us or City aspire to be but a worthy squad option. I think the real benefit for City would be they could potentially make some good money on flipping him given the way transfer fee's are shaping up.

Think Carlos Vela level but not quite the passing range but overall good at most things.

El Chucky should move to the Eredivisie or the Primeira.

City would be such a terrible terrible move for him where he'd have to compete for the 3 spots behind Agüero against D. Silva, B. Silva, Sane, de Bruyne, Sterling even Jesus.

I saw Celta Vigo heavily linked to him that would be an excellent move for him at this point. Real Sociedad would be a great move too. Him and Vela as the wide forwards.

Yeah, he looked good at Celtic. Definitely a lot of promise to his game but perhaps not there yet to be considered by Pep. If he isn't included in the preseason squad either a return to Celtic on loan or perhaps better to newly promoted Girona in the Primera since they are partners with City

Yeah, that'd be better. If he makes that move, he will be playing in a more competitive league. And in Celta, only Sisto will provide him with decent competition.

I hope this boosts his confidence and therefore can play with more serenity as he always plays great for his club but with Mexico he kind of chokes and plays very tense; but I attributed that for him pressuring himself to make an impact at the international stage and secure a move to Europe. Now that is official I hope that brings him some relief and plays like his usual self without that burden on him.

24 million euro. That's a lot of money for Eredivisie.

no player from PSV did us any good.......says RVN's biggest fan

But seriously, I'd much rather work on Martial / Rashford and Lukaku partnership than add him, just don't see it working.
