200k a week feck me. He's not worth that much p/w straight off the bat.

Probably not.

But when players see Rooney is on 300k a week(or was it 250) it gives them more leverage I suppose.

Big overpayment and big wages for a guy who has had one good season at Dortmund.

18 hours since something happened on United Twitter, has our social team gone on strike?

Probably not.

Rooney is a brand name & captain though. I care a lot less about mkhitaryan's wages given we have a surplus after letting go of Di Maria/Falcao/RvP.. but worry when it comes to trying to get the likes of Rashford to negotiate new contracts.

Be prepared for his wages to be brought up time and time again if played on the right because he won't be up to much there, in my opinion. I don't think he's a particularly brilliant player in his favoured #10 position either, but at least he'll be effective there unlike on the wings.

I wonder if this guy has been on the cards for a while.

There were a lot of reports from scoutsinattendance etc. about Mourinho attending several Dortmund matches from December and onwards, and now that we know that Mourinho was pretty much settled on the United job in December\January it might have been part of his preperation.

It suddenly came out of nowhere since most of us thought about him as either staying or going to Arsenal, but I think Mou has wanted him for a while.

United overpaying always makes a good story headline. Not even sure how the media gets this kind of information.

Aye, I wouldn't believe those wage amounts just yet. Also, why the 8m euro signing on fee? That's a bit steep and usually only happens for a free agent, and not someone whose contract we just bought out.

It wouldn't surprise me if Rioala asked for a signing on fee, but 8m is way too steep.

United broke the storm with an update on Schneiderlin. Great, all that for nothing.

Is this a thing now? "United sign xyz for £26m, BUT IT'S ACTUALLY £80M!!!!... when you take his wages into account over five years"

Just realised United will be playing Dortmund on 22 July in Shanghai as part of the pre-season. It seems like there is a good chance that Mikhi would be playing against his previous team so soon after leaving. That should be interesting!

BILD said Schweinsteiger was on something similar and his wages ended up being a lot more reasonable. Let's wait a second.

The wuming arrogance from some posters in here is something different..
Well Micki, good luck in a midtable club, which gets his honor only by the past and is filled by the arrogance that in some kind of naturalness they are good. Hope you get on there with your quotas of 1 good season out of 3. But there nobody will dry your tears if you have to carry water for Ibra. I am curious how the thing "Micki at United" proceeds.

You speak like we haven't won anything for 10 years....we have a league trophy and FA cup win in the past 4 years mate. If only we were like Dortmund who sell their best players on a annual basis (usually to their main rival) and have won about 2 cups in 10 years.

Be grateful we don't come and take Reus off you.

Cheer up, it might never happen!

Please remind me when was the last meaningful trophy won Dortmund? 2012?

We won league in 2013 and FA cup in 2016.

We are too nice to opposition posters, almost to a fault. You don't get to sprout so much abuse towards the team whose forum you are on anywhere else.
Ah come on, only one post/reaction to all the provocations and wuming going on in the Micki thread against Dortmund or posters and all are going up
