Aha, thatswhy he thowed him into that city game where he wasnt a little bit fit and ready after an injury? Makes no sense.

How do you know Mkhitaryan wasn't "a little bit fit"? I'm sure the medical staff who cleared him to play were a better judge of that than yourself. Mourinho has clearly decided to take extra precaution since though, which explains the extended time he's been out for after the 2nd injury.

I doesnt know any single example of this. Tbh i cant think of any sensitive player Mourinho made better. In my eyes he is the exact opposite in terms of motivating of the kinds of coaches Micki had back here.

Read various players' comments about him. The Inter squad, or Dudek's words about Mourinho's team talk after Real bounced back in the league after a 5-0 defeat. There is a thread on it somewhere - but the general idea that Mourinho is not a good motivator is silly. He can criticise players but he knows how to get their confidence up by the same token. He's buttering Mkhitaryan up quite a lot in the media, so I have little doubt that he's taking the right approach with the player.

He might aswell leave in January....once again not in the squad

The truth about this situation has to come out....why the feck is he not playing?

Absolutely baffling. he hasn't even had a chance ?!

I genuinely wish Mourinho never said he wasn't injured. He should have lied.

He arrived with the squad in training gear. Whole situation is odd. (30 seconds)

its just as possible that he's not training well or finding it hard to adapt, strange the consensus is that its all the club/Jose's fault

Is it really that outrageous to think that a guy whose shown himself in the past to be capable of being utterly abysmal when he feels pressed (Dortmund in the Champions League, hell, even vs City) is struggling to cope with the move and is playing awfully in training?

Was always the risk with this move, I'd go as far as to say that Ferguson would never have touched him with a bargepole given the question marks over his mentality.

Mourinho has made some unusual decisions over the past few years. Remember he bought Filipe Luis, one of the best left backs and didn't give him a game. This could be a similar situation.

Lingard and Mkhitaryan were both dropped after the City debacle.

Afterwards, Mourinho talked about how he was disappointed with the mentality and resoluteness of certain players in such a high pressure match.

What's clear is that Lingard has risen to the challenge ever since. Evidently, Mkhitaryan hasn't. I presume he's been shit in training because, conversely, Lingard has managed to turn things around for himself.

It's understandable, I suppose. Mkihtaryan is supposed to be an extreme introvert. He wilted under the pressure of the derby day game. And now he appears to be wilting under the pressure of Mourinho's personality demands.

Our current manager likes arrogant players who can stand up to his abrasive man-management style. If Mkhitaryan can't do that, he's going to get thrown out of the club. You have to back your manager in a situation like this.

The press need to ask Mourinho about this and get an explanation. They'll probably just ask about Rooney 4 different times though.

Utterly bizarre. Could have been such an asset to us, but seems destined to be another high-priced flop. I really cannot comprehend how players who look so good elsewhere come to United and look utterly shite in our kit. Baffling.

If that's what Mourinho feels then I can't understand why we took a near £30m punt.

If we paid 30 mill or what for him and then Mou decided he's not good enough that's stupid. Some issues about his mentality were already well known before...

Based on last season, he is probably one of the best players in the squad. Must be match fit to be in the squad so if this is another one of Jose transfer feck up then it could back fire on him.

It's entirely based on the article from the Sun and it is pure speculation, based on that rumour that we had to buy him because Raiola insisted on it.

It's not. It's based on a rumor that goes around in Dortmund but no real quotes of where this originated from so still looks like hirse shit even if the sun isn't the source.

No excuses for Jose. He was one of his crucial 4 signings after all. He put all his eggs in 4 baskets and needs to make it work.

Lingard rising to the challenge is all well and good but he is, at the end of the day, nothing special as a footballer. We wouldn't need to play average players week in week out had Jose either signed someone else or got Mkhitarian playing at his best.
