Leaving in January, what's the source? That United Pages twitter account?
What reports?Going in January if you believe reports, can't say I'm that bothered anymore, any excitement about his signing has long since gone.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is fully fit and training intensively in an attempt to return to the Manchester United first-team and has no intention of leaving in the January transfer window.
M.E.N. Sport has also been told claims Mkhitaryan could be sold in the new year are 'completely false' and the Armenia international is focused on his Old Trafford career.
Mkhitaryan has not featured since he was substituted at half-time on his first United start against City on September 10 and returned to training from a thigh injury four weeks ago.
The 27-year-old remained in Manchester as United's medical team monitored Mkhitaryan and, despite being overlooked for the games against Liverpool, Fenerbahce and Chelsea last week, he is intent on establishing himself in Jose Mourinho's side.
Mourinho insisted last week Mkhitaryan 'has to work more to get the intensity and fitness to play at a high level' and the former Borussia Dortmund playmaker told reporters in China during United's pre-season tour he expected to be rotated due to Mourinho's tactical tweaks.
"It doesn't matter if they buy me for, I don't know, £38million or £40m, I am not guaranteed to play the games," Mkhitaryan said. "So I am trying to do my best during the training to earn this place to play and then we will see, because I don't think I will play every game, depending on the tactical situation, depending on the opponent.
"But I will do everything to try and help the team."
When asked by M.E.N. Sport why Mkhitaryan was overlooked for the opening games against Leicester and Southampton, Mourinho replied: "Options. I went to the game against Leicester and I was reading the game and I thought we needed the speed of Jesse Lingard.
"And against Bournemouth, I thought they wanted to press really high, and a player like Mata coming inside could reach some spaces behind the lines of pressure and it could be very useful for us. And I decided to play Rooney both games in that position close to Zlatan and I didn't start with Mikhi.
"Some managers when they buy players, when it is their decision to buy players, the first thing they think is to protect themselves and to protect their choices. The players they buy have to play all the time. I am not like this. Before me comes the team, and what I think is the best for the team.
"In those two matches, Mata and Lingard were the best options for the team, adapted to the reality of the Premier League so I made that decision.
"But Mkhitaryan is a super football player and he will be given a lot of opportunities this season."
The United manager said on the eve of last week's Fenerbahce tie it is 'now time for him [Mkhitaryan] to go back to the levels we know that he can achieve'.
Mkhitaryan has made four substitute appearances in addition to his derby start and performed influentially in the August win at Hull.
Kets see if he makes the bench tonight, that would be nice to see and have him come on for a bit.
Yeah right... People just want drama and stir shit up. He needs time and Jose gives him that. Takes away pressure and eases him in as he might needs more time to settle
I'd have saved the Club the best part of £20m pal. Not to mention the wages he getsThank God you don't scout players for any club in the premier league then. Wouldn't be able to notice talent if it smacked you in the face.
Give it a year and you'll regret you made this post miki is world class if he doesn't do it here he will do it somewhere else. He's played one game and people are writing him off your no supporter of are football club if you do this.We are the most fickle bunch of football fans I've ever seen. What a sad place nobody gets behind are players anymore one stray pass and there considered not good enough for the club a sad state of affairs indeed.I'd have saved the Club the best part of £20m pal. So I'm no United supporter because I don't rate a player? Good thing you're back to school next week, you need to get an education and stop living reality through your XboxGive it a year and you'll regret you made this post miki is world class if he doesn't do it here he will do it somewhere else. He's played one game and people are writing him off your no supporter of are football club if you do this.We are the most fickle bunch of football fans I've ever seen. What a sad place nobody gets behind are players anymore one stray pass and there considered not good enough for the club a sad state of affairs indeed.
Am not doubting his quality. I'm saying rather bad starts muck with his confidence and when it goes it goes all seasonHe had 9 goals and 10 assists in 31 games (29 starts) in the Bundesliga his first year, pretty solid numbers.
His second year was worse but he missed 2 months due to an injury early in the season and they were in the relegation zone in january/february. That was the year Klopp lost the team, the defense was atrocious and they were bottom 3 in goals conceded more than halfway through the season. No one played well for them that season, but they did get it going in the last 2 months including Mkhi.
Also when Dortmund bought him (for a club record fee) he was already an incredible player coming off a season where he had scored the most goals in ukranian league history (25 goals in 29 matches), and he did it playing CAM. That year Shakhtar also had Willian and Fernandinho who went to the PL the same year. Douglas Costa was also playing there at the same time.
He's being sold according to today's Guardian.
Yes. Let's hope he plays a part in today's game and creates a good impression. If he fails, Jose has to take majority of the blame.
Eh, are you serious? He has been injured and out of form, hardly Mourinhos at fault for that.
Basically, whoever is staying at the Lowry is unhappy and cursed.
So we might see him tonight.
He hasn't even been in the squad for the last few games.
You have to actually play to have form though. He has been injured and I can only assume he has been training in 6 inch heels because summat ain't right.Eh, are you serious? He has been injured and out of form, hardly Mourinhos at fault for that.
German media reporting he's going to be sold in the winter.
They are reporting what the english tabloids are reporting. Nothing to see here. Can you be more specific?
