Nope, he's better than them all, bar a top form Martial. He'll start in midweek, and never look back.

We'll see. Whether or not he is better than them all in your (or my) opinion matters little. What matters is what Mourinho thinks of him and his contribution to the squad. In the community shield, he was the sixth attacking midfielder or winger to get on the pitch and played one minute. He was then a substitute in three league matches and then pulled at half time after starting the fourth. I wouldn't be surprised if he works his way into the team and becomes a key man but I don't see much evidence suggesting that Mourinho rates him particularly highly. He bought him, but who knows what that really means. The deal could have been 80% arranged by Woodward before Mourinho even arrived, it could have been part of the complex arrangements with Raiola, etc.

Bloody hell really want to see this guy play. What's happening to him recently? He's honestly a fantastic player and will do wonders for our team when he's fully implemented.

He's been injured most of the season, that's why he has barely played. Mourinho rushed him back after the international break even though he was injured, had a bad game where he aggravated his injured, so he got subbed and has been injured since.

Jose confirms that he is now fit. He could bring in a new dimension to our attack. Hopefully starts against fenerbahce.

Hopefully he plays against fenerbache would like to see him in the 10 role but would also like to see Mata there

IMO, Miki and Martial are the keys to either Man Utd being a truly top team in EPL or fighting for the last CL spot. For good or bad, you pretty much know what you're going to get from the other regular 11 (assuming Rashford comes off the bench)... these guys are the wildcards.

I fully agree, our wingplay has been sub-par this season, them two on form would take us up a level.

Think he's a cert to start tonight.

Really need to get him firing.

Conspiracy theories. Mourinho is a controlling manager and I wouldn't expect him to allow someone else to sign players for him after the Chelsea debacle with Shevchenko.

Didn't Chelsea sign Baba Ramen (or something like that) without Jose approving of it? Mind you it is Chelsea after all.

Dortmund guys that played for Klopp haven't turned out very well tbh. Sahin was a flop. Kagawa too. Goetze flopped at Bayern. Gundogan has been injured all the time. Reus (who is very good) is always injured. The only guys that really met the hype were Hummels and Lewandowski.

Mkhitaryan was great before he joined Dortmund, and has hardly played yet for us. In a couple of games that he did play for us he has showed some quality already, so I'm not too worried

I think Mkhi first properly excelled under Tuchel, if I remember correctly he has spoken about not liking to play for Klopp with his gegendepressing.

fit doesnt mean he's in a condition to start the game, he surely lacks fittness but that can be helped to build by actually playing him so he might start in fact, then subbed off early..

Yeah you're right... he was great with Tuchel. Tuchel doesn't press any less tbh. It's almost suicidal to me. If Ronaldo wasn't just coming back from injury, he would have scored 2-3 goals in that one. Wasted a ton of chances.

Yep, those two are the only thing missing at the moment. Well, and Pogba to step it up as well.

Pogba will come good. Unlike Lampard, he doesn't have Makalele and then Essien as his partner, prime Malouda as his winger and prime Drogba as his CF. He's been asked to do too much... and he's trying to do too much. Need young talent to emerge and Ibra to move more. When you look at it, other than Pogba, Ibra and De Gea, Man Utd doesn't have established top class players on the team. The expectations aren't really in line with reality right now imo.

When he had top class players around him (like a Lampard or Gerrard did), Pogba was out of this world at Juve.

it's a team game.

It's very important for Martial to get his confidence back. Mhki's still adjusting to his new environs it seems. We need him to come good by early winter though.

I'm starting to believe those weak mentalitiy / very fragile / lacks self-esteem stories.

I can just imagine him begging Mourinho on his knees: "Please, boss, I'm not ready yet, next week, I promise! Pleeeease!"

This is getting bizarre now. There surely has to be some reason other than the previous injury to explain his absence. How can get last season's Bundesliga player of the year not be getting in our squad?

He probably whispers it to Ibrahimovic to tell the manager when Mourinho isn't looking, and looks straight down at the floor when the message is passed on.

Surely Jose will be asked the question before kick-off why he isn't getting any time on either the starting eleven or bench at all

Why does there have to be another reason? he was rushed back previously and looked what happened there. He'll be back soon enough.

you all should calm down, he's just not match fit I guess, just because he's fit to train doesnt mean he's ready to play a game... I have no worries about him to show what he can do here, he's no Kagawa

This is getting a little weird. I mean he's been training for 3 weeks?

EDIT: SNAP

He has been training for 3 weeks, surely he can play 10 minutes off the bench. He is going to have to play at some point.
