Don't you guys know that's there is not a single defensive midfielder in the whole wide world that is good enough to play for a team that finished 8th last season?
Tbf, I do struggle to find any midfielders out there that are better than McFred. We have seen their great quality in the last 3 years.
We're skint. The club is on it's knees under these owners and we've got to hope that some rich wanker makes them an offer they can't refuse soon.

Wolves' midfield was already better than United's and they just signed a midfield player who would walk in to our side, while we stand idly by.

The targets we've identified as back ups for De Jong are SMS, Rabiot, Caicedo and Casemiro. None of them play similarly to the Dutch man and none of them play similarly to each other either. It's clear that we haven't done any planning or scouting for the profile of player that Ten Hag requires and are just winging it now.
There has been a massive failure in our recruitment division for years. We aren't finding the young, potentially great players that others are. Or when we do, we don't pursue them. We're just going for big name players now.
