Do we know if it was rejected because 70m is lower than what they want or if it was structured over a few years and they want that changed?

70m for Maguire is crazy and I still think thathe's far from WC, however I am warming to the idea of having him. We all know what he brings to the table ie aerial dominance and a decent distribution of the ball. Now with AWB at his right and Smalling as his partner, we should be able to cover up for his deficiencies (ie his lack of pace). I can see how our defence will shape up

As a season ticket holder at Leicester it’s a crazy amount to turn down but you’ve just paid £50m for a kid that’s played one season in the league.
The main reason though is our chairman doesn’t want to sell.

People need to realise that not only are we paying extra tax because of the club's name, the player's nationality, but also to prevent the likes of Jones, Young and Smalling from stepping on the pitch wearing United colours.
