90m is crazy money. Offer 60m and then 30m bonus if we win CL and he wins ballon d'or in same year. That would do.
So 60mil

err that's my point: let's not buy him because City didn't!

Genius, can't believe Ole didn't think of that already

Harry Maguire just liked a picture on Triplesports Instagram page of James Garner on United's pre season tour
Triplesports?

And Garner’s, so nothing to see there.Triplesports are also Maguire s agents
Where did all these Leicester fans come from all of a sudden? Did they all just join to inform us it’s not happening or what’s the story

Arse by proxy. It's less insulting
I know it seems like a lot of you guys don't want the guy, and I was pretty skeptical myself, and very much so for the price quoted.
I also know that watching one video of his best performances, tackles and passes means he doesn't feck up.
But, we need a good, strong centre back next to Lindelöf. Someone who can dominate in the air, in our own and in our opositions box.
The guy is proven in the league, he is a pretty decent passer, very comfortable with the ball at his feet and his big head just pounds in headers. There's a reason they aim at him on deadballs in the national team.
I've also read a lot of comments that he's not that much better than Smalling. I thought he might be a bit better, but after seeing some clips of him it kinda tips me over the edge.
The way he progresses the ball at his feet is just rediculous. Not just that, he fecking dribbles past attackers in his own half and to top it off he actually finds teammates on the opponents half and don't just pass it to one of the other defenders.
Smalling can do maybe half of one of those things, and he's allowed to roam to the halfway line because everybody knows he couldn't pick an attack pass if our team was the only players on the pitch.
Regarding the price you have to pay to get a proven PL defender, and because he is tied down for several more years it'll cost us extra as well. If he is the last piece of the puzzle that is our defence, then pay the money.
Now lay it on me, I'm pretty sure some of you want to bring the hate or just disagree with me.
Also added a video of him, the ball progression part was just absurd.
I think he'll be a great player for the big games if he signed for us. He seems to have that extra level of motivation when it's a big game. I can imagine him going right through Salah at AnfieldHe's worth 80m for that goal against the dippers alone tbh.
Definitely been a nuisance against us as well.I think he'll be a great player for the big games if he signed for us. He seems to have that extra level of motivation when it's a big game. I can imagine him going right through Salah at Anfield
If Leicester are struggling they would want to keep him to make sure they move up. If they are doing well why would they jeopardize it? Needs to be now so they can sign a replacementPeople are laughing at me suggesting that we could go for Maguire in January but when did Liverpool buy Van Dijk?
I think Leicester have way bigger expectations than what the reality is when it comes to the valuation of the player. And I believe Ole has the proper mindset, in the sense that it's better to wait a bit longer on our main targets instead of overreacting and going for someone not suitable to what we want for our development.
Another issue with all that is the club seems unable to sell any player, like at all. We can't massively overpay for a CB when we have 6 other ones on the books.
I'm sure Southampton wanted to keep Van Dijk as they were in a bad spot too but the player seriously pushed for a move and the club had to oblige in the end, even if they were left pissed off at Liverpool for apparently tapping up the Dutchman. If Leicester are struggling they would want to keep him to make sure they move up. Fantastic news that you actually get it because, sadly, quite a few of your fellow posters patently don't. Update from our end, the clocks ticking and absolutely no further developments.Pretty much, and to tell us how their owners have set a valuation and how it’s up to united to meet it. Much like every other transfer in football.
Yeah, kinda why I was thinking it!Definitely been a nuisance against us as well.
But it isn’t him that’s holding off the move, it’s just us not wanting to pay it just yet. If you’re talking about pushing for a move it doesn’t seem that it’s in his DNA. I truly think we’ll meet it.I'm sure Southampton wanted to keep Van Dijk as they were in a bad spot too but the player seriously pushed for a move and the club had to oblige in the end, even if they were left pissed off at Liverpool for apparently tapping up the Dutchman.
Same thing could happen with Maguire and it's up to him to make that choice now or wait and see what the future holds.

Just can't believe this has gone from a massive crescendo, of looking very close to being done - official stories of 70m bid, a few people/outlets breaking it as being done, then 10 days on - utterly gone cold.
So cold, that my post is the first one in around 3hours!
The trophies have long dried up. And now we can’t even do transfer sagas anymore.Just can't believe this has gone from a massive crescendo, of looking very close to being done - official stories of 70m bid, a few people/outlets breaking it as being done, then 10 days on - utterly gone cold.

Christ sake, United!
I would offer them 60 £ mill. .
Not all this waiting shit again....someone message me when a player has put the ink on the dotted line.
