This isn't good for Mykonos' tourism industry too, which I find baffling if I were to think from a Greek standpoint. It's celebrity central at times, and famous faces will look at the Maguire situation and think "even if there's a 30% chance he's right, feck taking the risk and getting scammed by their police".
Regardless of what actually happened, the whole affair has left a sordid taste and is an embarassment for the club. Think he has to be stripped of the captaincy.

No I don't think that it should be standard practice for footballers to have to hire bodyguards in case someone drugs and presumably attempts attempts to rape their sister. And if such an incident does occurs the law should be on their side.

I hope he has a support network open to him, both personally and at United, who can get him through whatever comes of this incident. Obviously I'm not close to the matter but I doubt it'll have serious ramifications for his footballing career, for example I'd be surprised if he lost the captaincy of United or England next year.

Doesn't mean it's right nor just but thats just how things are in the world today the same way any CEO or executive level employee being caught in legal trouble will reflect poorly on their company/employer regardless of how just they are in whatever actions led to said legal trouble.
Heck that applies even for regular people like us, we probably wouldn't even be allowed to plead our case before getting reprimanded by our employers if ever we were charged with an offense.
