Paulinho, Lamela and Soldado, all lovely players United should have gone for
I'm not even sure whether Glaston is just trolling/WUMming or if he's serious. Sometimes he's that deluded.
Look at B20, he's afraid that we can buy them too!
FFS
Well we are still crying ourselves to sleep after not getting the chance to buy Paulinho and Soldado that you had proclaimed as 'the sort of players United should have gone for instead of chasing unrealistic targets'.
 I remember how confident/bullish Glaston was about Paulinho especially. FFS. "self proclaimed big club"....yeah Glaston, makes sense. *thumbs up*

Ffs. What an utterly cringe worthy post.

Playing one-upmanship on the monetary value of "the franchise" should be a bannable offence.
Why?

It's w valid response to someone claiming United are not a big club. It's hard financial evidence that they are a huge club.

I don't see Kane actually wanting to come here....not yet anyway.
Can't see any reason why he wouldn't want to come here.

Biggest club in England with a big manager spending money to try restore the club. As a player that's exactly what I'd want to join.

Plus, the wages. Don't forget the wages!

I can't wait until Kane signs for united whether it's this summer, or one to come

Just so that I can say told you so to glaston

Sooner he realises that spuds are a selling club the better for his own sanity

We won't have any bid accepted before Levy finally stops lying on a beach laughing at Real Madrid's £85m bid for Bale knowing well that he'll receive at least twice that price.

Some big chatter that Spurs want to get Hernandez and Berahino in this window. We want Kane. I see us in a strong position here. £40million + Hernandez?. They can then buy Berahino using the £40million. I think them losing kane but getting both these guys in as replacements (and probably money left over) is very very good business. Surely the way to go for all parties??!?!

So you value Kane at £50m+? Are you crazy?

Griezmann buyout clause is £43mil. A player who has just scored 22 goals last season in La Liga. I think we should be looking at a player like him instead of Kane.

Sorry why would he receive twice the price?

That's a very glastonlike thing to say

He signed a new contract and I believe upped his buyout clause.

Edit: In fact he kept the same clause but could have an agreement with Atletico, he stays one more season and can leave for less than his clause next year, allegedly.

He just signed a new contract didn't he

Besides he's another wide forward which we don't need, particularly if we buy pedro

This is what Glaston said in 2013 before Bale moved to Real Madrid - that Real would have to pay at least £160m or they would be laughed at by Levy for trying to sign Bale.

Didn't he mostly play through the middle for Atletico last season?

But yeah, new contract, no chance.

He can play across the entire front three and will be impossible to sign. Good players but the quoted price tags of £60m (and it would probably take this much to sign him) are a bit exaggerated for a player like Griezmann. We should have gone for him last year when he was available for £18m and looked exactly what we needed.

It's 65m€, not pound.

He's also grown up and come through the ranks at Spurs. You need to put the Utd bias to one side and understand that he has an emotional connection to spurs and as such will feel a sense of debt to them. We would need him to push for this move and he absolutely will not do that at this point in his career.

Berahino wont be moving this window - if you believe the reports a while back.

His agent is that absolute bellend-twat Aidy Ward (Sterlings agent) & Berahino allegedly wants nothing to do with him anymore & is allegedly running down his contract with him, which runs out allegedly in November this year.

Ward will get paid massively if he moves now & if his contract does end with Ward in Nov - then Berahino wont be in as a good position to attract top-class representation, than if he stayed at West Brom til January or next summer.

De Gea didnt something similar with us, when the move was delayed by a month or so, because he was running down his agent contract, so to get that other absolute bellend-twat Mendes, to represent him instead..

Just checked it. It seems the management contract formally ends in November, but they have in reality already stopped working together.
ah I see. So I wonder what that does mean for Transfer deals. Surely he would want to leave WBA this summer. Especially if Spurs are interested.

Why?

It's w valid response to someone claiming United are not a big club. It's hard financial evidence that they are a huge club.

It's 'valid' only in the sense of being a correct argument. It is however a reprehensible way of looking at it. "oh our sponsorships makes us so much bigger than any player could." Feck that.

Next, there'll be chants to AON in the stands.

"Chevrolet! La lala lala! Chevrolet! La lala lalala!"

I was right then.. :p

:lol::lol:

It's nothing to do with United bias, it's to do with the fact that United(and I'd say this even if I didn't support them) are a massive club compared to Spurs and have always shown the ability to attract big players. And many of them far bigger in stature than Harry Kane.

And seriously, an emotional connection with a sense of debt to them? Best move into the 21st century. He owes them nothing and if you want see how strong his emotional connection is, double his wages and see how that one goes down.

This is a business. Sentiment is long gone out the window.

Well, whether you like it or not, it is correct. They are paying that much money to sponsor the club because it is so fecking huge. It's not difficult.

Don't be silly

You pay for potential and from what little we saw yesterday, Kane seems to have worked on his game. Rooney scored 17 goals in 77 appearances before we splashed good enough cash on him.

Lets say he repeats his output from last season, he would probably double his transfer value next summer.

What do you think his transfer value is currently if you think it would double after having 2 good seasons? Also, would love to know what you think is Aguero's worth if having back-to-back good seasons doubles a player's value.
