He'd jump at the chance to come here. Can't see it this summer but we'll grind Levy down by next summer. He'll be perfect for us

i actually think we should go big this summer and i expect us too. The next game could again highlight our toothless striking options.

The desperation and scattered focus grows day by day. One week it's Muller, then Kane, then Benzema, then Ibrahimovich, then back to Kane again. But wait .... oh dear, what's this? Ah, alas, no one wants to sign for you.

Meanwhile, the realistic targets slip away, one by one ... like seagulls following a departing trawler, its net bulging with fish, yet none deemed big enough to merit the craved-for big big bid by the bigwigs at the self-proclaimed big, big, big club.
If only we could sign great players like Spurs do every summer.

Oh well, a man can dream.

I see you have a sense for poetry. Maybe you should visit RAWK from time to time, you'd fit well.

the self-proclaimed big, big, big club.
Adidas just paid United for a sponsorship more money than Spurs are actually worth as a sports franchise. Now THAT is a big club. Attracting major sponsorship and licensing deals will last much longer than any player will.

Why come on a United forum and expect to see otherwise? feels like you're getting yourself worked up over United fans discussing your player, hardly anyone here expects that we can prise him away from you, so take our chatter with a pinch of salt yea?

He's eying up the kit I think :) Bit tasty.

Or Rooneys bum, that sexy potato.

 If nobody wants to sign for Manchester United football clubs like Totenham Hotspur might as well shut up shop and just run a pub team.

I find it funny how so many bites on Glaston's trolling, fun to read :D

As I said before in this thread, I think Kane would be perfect. We got fullbacks that have shown they can overlap well, and we are historically a team with many crosses. Someone like Kane in the box to score on them would be perfect. To me he looks like the combination of the classic British target-man and the modern striker

Still butthurt about the result ?

Who needs to sign a Spurs player when they score for us anyway?

Wait, so United is not a big club? They got me fooled then.

I agree, whilst he didn't look like scoring his overall game was ok, and he almost got a VERY good assist. I'm warming to the idea of him as our 9, his use of the ball is very good

Me too. He really does a lot of creative, useful link work for a 9, he's an aerial threat and has good shooting range. Spurs will want a crazy amount of money, but if there's nobody we feel confident is the next Suarez or Aguero out there, it might not be a bad move.

Not a chance we're going to get him. Not only would Levy not sell, I don't see Kane actually wanting to come here....not yet anyway.

Who hasnt done anything like that before and might not do it again. Were spurs wise to spend 30m on lamela?

You pay for potential and from what little we saw yesterday, Kane seems to have worked on his game. Rooney scored 17 goals in 77 appearances before we splashed good enough cash on him.

Lets say he repeats his output from last season, he would probably double his transfer value next summer.

Nah, dont think so. Levy will probably ask for 50m this season anyway.

Ffs. What an utterly cringe worthy post.

Playing one-upmanship on the monetary value of "the franchise" should be a bannable offence.

I'm beginning to come around to this being a decent idea. Mainly out of desperation for us to strengthen our forward line. Might just fit in really well into our system.

Does buying Kane solve our creativity problems? We need to sort the system out and play people were they need played. Young on the bench for a start, Depay out on the left Herrera/Mata centre and then Pedro out right if he comes, if not then give Januzaj a season. Kane will be a good player but I think he needs another season at Spurs before we can drop Rooney more often for Kane. This season will be all about Rooney up front and Kane wont want to play second fiddle to him especially with the Euros coming up. Yes we have a lot of games but for Kanes development he needs regular week in week out football to sustain his progress and actually be worth £45m, atm he isn't worth that much.

Well we are still crying ourselves to sleep after not getting the chance to buy Paulinho and Soldado that you had proclaimed as 'the sort of players United should have gone for instead of chasing unrealistic targets'.
