Harry Kane

Wouldn't really want to pay anything over £20m or so for him tbh but with it being Levy that might only get us an arm.
Really? I don't even think that's a fair valuation IMHO - genuinely think he's actually worth much more than £20m!

Considering it's only been 1 season he's performed at the level he did I'd be reserved about paying much more than that.

Mainly based on how we spent £17m on unproven Anderson, Nani, P.Jones, etc (and that was a few years ago)....

--Herrera -- Schneiderlin--
--Mata - Rooney - ADM--
-----------Kane-------------

Maybe? Has goals in it at least, especially with Depay rotating in and out of the team....

It would seem strange to let RVP go unless we are sure of getting somebody. I can't see how we could be at all sure of getting Kane unless things are extremely advanced behind the scenes.

hmm I suppose so, but 1 more season where so many have failed. And it's not just a handful of games etc. He clearly has the pedigree, is at a very young age..and English too!

That would actually be very exciting!

I'm not sold on Harry Kane tbh. He's had one good season and not worth splashing £40M+ on imo. But then again, if we sign Kane then GlastonSpur will probably feck off so yeah I wouldn't mind it actually.

I'm not sure how you *could* be sold on Harry Kane just yet. He's only had one season, it's impossible to know how good he really is, though you'd hope our scouts are shrewder judges of talent than most of us.

What I will say though is that he's quite unlikely to turn out to be a crap striker given the relatively few amount of players who have had seasons as good as his. You also have to factor in the potential upside and relative lack of alternatives....

Maybe 45m would prove to be a fair price for him or maybe it would prove to be a rip off. Once it's paid though I seriously doubt we'd regret having him here, even if he doesn't live up to that price tag. He'd still likely be a very good striker for us.

Seeing as we're throwing money around like idiots anyway, maybe he'd be worth the risk with that in mind? I dunno.

There was talk that PSG would accept somewhere around 30m EUR for Lacazette. I don't think Kane is worth more.
Kane has done what Lacazzette did in a stronger league. He's worth more than Lacazzette IMO.

Also, Lyon not PSG need to accept 30m for Lacazzette.

Kane played in a stronger league, Kane is English and Kane would be being sold by Levy.

If Lacazette is worth 30m then I think we'd be lucky to get away with only being charged an extra 15m for Kane.

Yeah, my bad, dunno why I thought of PSG.

Lacazette has done it two years in a row, Kane so far has had only 1 good season.

45m pounds even in todays market is too much for Kane IMO.

At that price we can buy possibly 2 young strikers that have the same potential as Kane.

I'm happy we're linked with Coleman, Schneiderlin and Kane. 3 of my favourite players last year. 3 quality young positive players who know the league. Would love to see them here, alongside Ramos and Schweinsteiger. Would take quite the effort to get all those in, though.

As equally big of a punt as Sterling, both costing in the region of £45m. Do you think the ridiculous price of English youngsters is one of the reasons why you don't see many of them breaking through into the top teams, or is it because the general rule is that they aren't good enough.

Lacazette has been a very good young player since he is 19, he always had the potential to be a very good striker and had 2 very good season, I like what I see from Kane but Lacazette showed more.

I'm quietly confident we wont be chucking huge money at Kane....mainly because I still hold out some hope that we're not run by complete and utter morons.

Spurs won't sell for anything less than an exorbitant fee. And he's not worth that. LvG isn't an idiot. If the fee is £45m, he'll definitely use that cash elsewhere/on someone else proven.

Would rather wait to see if he can keep up his form for another year. Would be a huge risk buying him now

did a 3k track race the other day, and noticed the guy who won it was called Harri Kane.

has to be a sign of some sort

I'd be excited as hell if we signed him even if logic says we should wait another year.

I wouldn't say it's a huge risk, it's not like we'd be utterly dependent on him and even if he doesn't turn out to be consistently top level we can move him on. You take the gamble with young English talent don't you?

I don't think it's realistic that we get him this year, doesn't sound like either Tottenham or Kane want it right now.

Probably that Kane is an apt name for carthorses

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we should go for Kane over Lacazette. Just that if we did I'd expect 15m to be the minimum extra we'd pay given the circumstances.
