Kane > Pogba, and any of Raiola’s other whores.

If Mourinho’s intent on playing 4-2-3-1, signing Ozil ect, he neutralises Pogba’s impact anyway. If it means acquiring Kane, sell him, and rescue Kante from the Chelsea circus. Sign Mahrez too...

A midfield/attack of

—————Kante——-Matic————
Mahrez———Ozil————Sanchez
——————Kane————————

Is more likely to win the league than one incorporating Pogba deep and Lukaku.
Seriously? Sometimes this forum amazed me. Is that Glaston in disguise?

April 1st already?

What would the value of BBC be in the summer?
If Madrid offered all 3 for Kane would Spurs fans take it?
Ronaldos age puts him at 80m odd for me.
Benzema would be in the 60s with Bale around 100m due to his injury problems.
So 240m euros would be too far off from this rumoured bid and it still leaves 200m Madrid would have spent on strengthening the remaining 2 positions.
The wages are a killer and 100% wouldn't happen but if a Madrid or Spurs fan could push a button to make it so would they do it?
It's january. I'll get back with you in a few months

No.

£100m, Lukaku and Rashford.

The best English players should be playing for United; Kane is the best one in 10 years, since a (prematurely) peaked Rooney, and he’s an animal in the Champions League too.

Sigh... so tiresome, so arrogant. If you want the best young English talent maybe try developing it not just arrogantly assuming the best players should be playing for you just cause...

That's quite arrogant in itself after the wealth of English talent United has developed in the past. More PL players than any other top side, I imagine? It's not like Spurs are the first to bring through a world class English player now.

Not at all I agree. I’m just taking issue with some God given right for United to have the best English players. I accept you’ve developed some fantastic talent in the past.

Nah. United is the natural retirement home for ageing stars looking for one last big pay-day. It's a match made in heaven for you guys - go for it!

Just cause we are the biggest and most successful club in the country by a mile? And clearly we are trying to develop the best English talent, Rashford and Lingard will be massive players for England in the next few years. Not to mention Gomes if he develops as he should. Unfortunately that fecker Kane won’t come to us, class player.

That makes Spurs a disintegrated refugee camp for helpless stars who survive on limited rations while praying and waiting for deliverance and legitimatcy by getting a citizenship at a country with promises of jobs and a good life.

Yeah, let's remove the promotion in this forum entirely.

Since United last won the league, Kante has won 2, Matic has won 2, Mahrez has won 1, Ozil has won the World Cup, Sánchez has won two Cop Americas, and Harry Kane has proven to be the best striker in England and arguably Europe.

But the notion that combined they would win the league for United is in some way amusing?

A natural retirement home, that has won more in the last year, than spurs have in the last 2 decades.

It's irrelevant because the three of them wouldn't join spurs.

Spurs biggest problem with selling Kane would be attracting a world class alternative. Nobody top tier wants to go to Spurs. They don't pay enough. I expect Kane gone this year or next. He could double his money at least.

@AndyJ1985
Its a ridiculous scenario but i saw it as a throw away line on f365 and it got me thinking.
Take the money and Spurs will find every replacements price go up by 50 percent so the 200m becomes a lot less overnight due to the immediate inflation.
Thd second problem is exactly your point. A top replacement simply wouldn't join Spurs.
At least with the swap they would have 3 top players with 200m still being 200m in terms of talent.
Just a post Sanchez mind bender that caught my attention.

Zlatan, Schweinsteigger, Falcao .. take your pick.

The signing of Zlatan was clearly vindicated in his performances on the pitch and the many goals he scored for us.

The signings of Schweinsteigger and Falcao didn't prove quite so fruitful, but they were hardly on the verge of retirement. The latter wasn't even 30.

Glaston's troll level is that, of spurs actually achieving anything. I'm sorry, but I've been reading your dross for quite a few years now. (and said nothing) But you actually think Kane would snub a chance to play for Madrid, considering the fact your club won't pay him a decent wage?

Deluded to think otherwise.

Probably quoted wrong post. But it needed saying. Apologies. @Random Task

It is more the notion of playing football manager.

Zlatan? Who was our top scorer last season and probably would have hit close to 35 goals if not for his knee injury? Fair enough Bastian, but he still had his classy moments when here and Jose soon sorted him out. Falcao was a flop for us, but he’s not the first big name to go to a club and not perform nor will he be the last and just look how he performed when back at Monaco for proof that he wasn’t here for “retirement”. It’s not as though those 3 cost the earth either, One was free, was was a loan deal and the other was bought for peanuts.

Absolutely no chance do any of those big names join Spurs, whether for retirement purposes or not.

It’s a very viable concept - sell Pogba for £150m to a desperate Real, sign Kante and Mahrez for circa £100m, upgrade Lukaku with Kane. Ozil is free.

I’m not suggesting it will happen, it was primarily in response to the projection that if the opportunity arose to sign Kane the club should decline for fear of upsetting Mino Raiola.

I've posted my fair share of dross on this site over the years I've been a member. Probably had it coming!

I can't see Kane pushing for a move away from Spurs, nor can I see Levy ever sanctioning his transfer to another Premier League club.

Even if he is not getting paid as well as he could be, and even if Spurs do not win the league.

I know that all sounds a bit ridiculous, but I think he is genuinely happy there.

I can't work out if it's a result of a lack of ambition, sheer stupidity or pure loyalty.

I'm probably talking crap, but that's just the feeling I get about Kane.

Zlatan, you mean the guy that created tons of optimism and attention last season? The guy that scored the winning goal in the League Cup? Schweini and Falcao didn’t turn out well, but no transfer is a guaranteed success - something you should know as well. Thing is; 99% of all Spurs-fans would have taken these players at the time they happened - but they would never sign for you. Even on the same buck.

It must be dreadful for you seeing Man Utd above you in the table again, winning trophies last season, whilst all that is happening at Spurs is winning nothing and defending all rumors about players leaving. Every single day.

I predict one year at the new stadium and then off to Madrid.

Nah mate he's off to Real soon enough.

I can see Kane staying in England if he gets paid well but I don't think he'd mind a few years at Madrid on a big salary if no offers are forthcoming.

Madrid nearly always buy the best player of a world cup and spend big money on the player, James Rodriguez, Ozil etc

Im sure they wil do the same again, lets see how well Kane does at the WC.

Absolutely no chance that Spurs would want any of those big names ... so a happy coincidence then.

They wouldn't, not least because it would have driven a coach-and-horses through our wage-structure, leading to massive knock-on wage demands across the squad and leading in turn eventually to even less money available for signing new players.

Nah, as I've said, such players are match made in heaven for United. They don't fit the Spurs model at all.

What do Spurs want exactly then? You seem to think Spurs are in some way 'above' signing that type of player, however it's not got you anywhere in the last couple of decades. The simple truth is that Spurs can't afford such players, can't tempt them to join you and raise the profile of the club. Don't forget you overpaid for an ageing 'star' in Soldado.

Yeah, you're right there. Being winners and all
