Harry Kane MBE | Performances

He is over a third of the way to Jimmy Greaves' record. Quite amazing. If he can stay fit then anything is possible for him - Greaves, Shearer, etc.

He's fecking quality. He can score such a wide variety of goals. I find it bewildering that some can't admit that he's an excellent player.
He isn't a pace and dribbling merchant on FIFA, must be crap.

had 25 quid on Kane for top scorer..... ended up cashing out with a smallish profit.

fantastic for him to miss those games but it also underlines the inconsistency of Lukaku
Not really. Lukaku has scored more than everyone else and 24 goals will usually get you top scorer. Thats like saying Vardy and Kane were inconsistent last season....

Some more Harry Kane stats:

* Has as many PL hat-tricks as Ronaldo + Bergkamp + Zola + Diego Costa + Cantona combined

* Has averaged a goal every 92 minutes in the Premier League - when you consider stoppage time that's fractionally better than a goal every league game on average.

* Is currently the top PL scorer despite playing 1,000 minutes less than both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

Simply a very good striker. Doubters will remain about who he's scoring against and when he scores but ultimately it misses the point that over the course of a season he will consistently score goals regardless.
Don't even understand that considering he scores in every London derby, and with his goal against us the other day he's now scored against all the big sides in the league.

None of which got more than Darren Huckerby?

If we're genuinely taking hat trick records seriously... He's 23, is he? Fowler had nine by 26? He could get there. Then two more to Shearer.

He's one of the best finishers in the world regardless of the rest of his game.

World class striker, dunno how he isn't rated higher on here.

Simply sensational the lizard wee fecker. Whoever is going to come in for him, Levy will bend them over for a good spanking.

Feck it, let's just give Levy £250m for Harry, Toby, Dele, Eric and Christian :nervous:

Yeah I used to doubt him too, but he's proved me wrong.

Excellent striker.

Doubt Levy ever sells to a PL club though.

Anyone know what kind of contract he's on? I think he'll stay with Spurs, but Levy will have to pay up to fend off the big clubs. Should be interesting as Spurs will need to smash their wage structure to hold onto him.

Same minutes as Zlatan... 53% more goals.

He's the best striker in the League in my view and is on the cusp of being one of the best in Europe.

Hes great but also playing in a much better side

Aye, he was sensational last night. If he keeps it up he will be the best no.9 in Europe in a few seasons. Would love him here at Utd.

£100k a week with some other add ons till 2022. He is Tottenh through and through and will stay for the foreseeable future. I think he will do a Teddy, if we're still not winning competitions by the time he is 26/27 he will move and with the blessing of most Tottenham fans. Love the guy and firmly believe if we start winning competitions on a yearly basis and keep challenging like we are he would happily stay for his career, he has said ideally that's what he would want. But yeah this is football anything can happen.

To be considered that he'd have to actually do it in Europe. No doubt he's an incredible striker domestically but it hasn't yet translated over to European level. It's a similar criticism levied towards Aguero at his best. He's still young and has plenty of time, mind.

As a team we have under performed but Kane himself is doing ok. 2 in 3 in the CL this season, and we stunk up the EL but again wasn't down to Kane.

I'd like to see him go abroad. Very rare these days that there is a genuinely world class English player, and I like seeing how they do when they go abroad.

Jann-Fiete Arp, the German who scored 7 goals at this summer's U17 Euros cites Harry Kane as his role model.

"He plays the way I want to play. He's pacy and very comfortable with and without the ball. It's difficult to stop him. You need to pay attention for 90 minutes because he can score at any time."

Really?! That feels a bit odd, at least for someone who watches very little football outside the PL but for CL!

Let's not read too much into the 4 goals. Leicester were at 5 beaches simultaneously.

I'd love him here but think he's Madrid bound in the future.

Needs to still do it in Europe and internationally. Great EPL striker though and yesterday enhances that fact.

He's almost missed far less "big chances" - 11 vs 18.

Don't get me wrong I wasn't bashing him, I was just pointing out its easier to score in that side, especially without the pressure of being literally the only player in the side that scores goals.

Yeah let's not read into the other 22 goals this season, the other 25 last season or the 21 before that. Let's see how he does next season before we pass judgment. If he was playing for any other other league in Europe with his stats the praise would be shocking.

Let's just read into the other 68 goals in 100 games then.

Great responses :)

His driven low shooting technique is 1 of the best I have seen.

The way he can hit it so hard, but keep it daisy-cutter low and into the corners is a special ability. He loves to drop off the defensive line, pick up the ball and smash it hard and low.

He was never my favourite striker, but as a poacher you just cannot argue his numbers. If he can stay injury free I can see him scoring 30 goals a season pretty regularly.
