Plenty of pretty crap performances from England, particularly in the second half. Kane just seems an odd one to single out for me. 2 real chances, 2 goals.

For me, kane is worldclass, i just expect more from him than of alli for example. But as i said above, you'll take the poor performance and the goals all tournament
Scored two goals from two set pieces and didn't have a sniff at anything else. Did his job but he, and we as a team, need to get a lot better than this before the knockouts.

Fair enough. He didn’t really assert himself at any point, I’ll agree with that. Showed up when it mattered though which is what’s most important. Incredibly important result, and probably a deserved one to be fair, despite the second half performance.
He just scored 2 goals. That is the opposite of crap. Can he play better? Yes. Did he do what he needed to when it really counted? Yes.

Kane is English but lukaku is better.
Kane tried to drift as Lukaku did in their second half and wasn't as good at it.
Lukaku has a bit more pace and actually has a deceivingly great cross on him. If Kane wants to play that role then he has to be better at it or England will struggle

I don't think you can really argue Lukaku is a better player than Kane having watched the PL for the last 3/4 seasons. However I think Lukaku has more potential, he is much more dynamic, but he currently is not a better player. Lukaku especially in the bigger games doesn't do enough

No fecking way. I like Lukaku a lot, and I don't think that Kane is the best striker in the world (not yet), but Kane is significantly better than Lukaku.

Can't agree at all sorry, your basing this on the first World Cup game where both teams were playing poor teams, Panama being even worse than Tunisia. You need to look at the last 3 PL seasons.
