Harry Kane | "I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success."

I still think Haaland has his eyes set on Barca or Real, but he might well want to play in PL first. So if he were to come I'd think he stay for a good 4-5 years or so.

Signing Sancho could actually be a big boost for us, since they clearly play well together and Haaland knows he will help him bag goals

Difficult to say in terms of Haaland. I still think they have their plans laid out, top club in Spain and a top club in England. Barcelona and Real Madrid both need to rebuild, i think we're heading into a period where English clubs will dominate Europe, so in that sense it wouldn't surprise me if he's looking at going to England first. Given the financial situation due to covid, it's unlikely that Barcelona and Real Madrid can afford a quick rebuild. Top clubs will obviously be very interested in signing him, but Real Madrid will be looking at Mbappe's contract situation at PSG, and he's hardly an ideal fit for how Barcelona would prefer to play (could easily change, Messi exit).

If Kane is interested in joining us, by all means. Long term i still think we'd be better off going for Sancho and then all in for Haaland

Sancho and haaland- we got no chance. We are not top dogs anymore. Man City get first dibs and then the rest of us. If they win the CL then why not get Kane and Sancho? £200m not a
Problem. Unless Pep leaves I just can’t see us winning the big prizes sorry.

but i agree i doubt Spurs would accept Martial in a part exchange deal for Kane, they would want whatever they would demand in full
And what options do they have? Kane may simply discontinue playing for them and distort the dressing room greatly.

If he wants to leave, they need to sell, and when no one pays 150m or even 100m, cash plus player deals are a viable solution

Just out of interest. In recent years, who has actually chosen city ahead of us? I have newborn baby so am quite sleep deprived, but I cant think of anyone.

Yep, Sancho loves City and City loves Sancho. Pep longs for Sancho and all of the non problems he brought them

I agree unfortunately. Cardiff City just can't match the wages or trophies of Man City.

It's gonna heavily depend on Kane though. if he doesn't kick up a fuss, they'll just say that no one wanted to pay. and quite frankly, at the prices quoted, nobody's will come close to signing him.

150m with the hit clubs took during this covid period, that's a lot of money.

What a ridiculous post. Give one example of a player choosing city over us ? and we have been in this shit situation since 2013.

Sancho ? the same player that left city for playing time ?

Why not offer Spurs Henderson and Lingard + some money for Kane. I am not willing to discard Martial after one poor season. But I honestly don't rate Henderson enough and if we value Henderson and Lingard at £70 mill (I am not saying they are worth that - but I don't feel Kane is worth £130-140 million either)

So offer Spurs ´£30 million + Henderson and Lingard - and we might settle on £50 million + those 2.

We will end up paying £50 million for Kane + a keeper who isn't good enough and a midfielder who hasn't played for us the entire season. That will be a good deal for both clubs I think.
If we were to bring in Kane then we don’t need Martial. We have Greenwood, Cavani for central. Rashford, Pogba for left. Chuck in young ones like Diallo. I think if we bring in another striker then Martials time is up. We can’t afford to wait for him to hit consistency. Another season like this one he will be playing for the newcastles of this world.

Morning papers seem to suggest City is his preferred destination, not suprising.

If we did make a bid, maybe the club would include dean henderson in the bid, to bring the overall expenditure down. Isnt Hugh Lloris getting on a bit and past his best?

So if Kane goes there then they won’t need Haaland

I think he’s nailed on for City. All the noise is going that way

Kane is tied to a contract that is still running till 2024, he is in no position to push for transfer unless he hands in a transfer request, even if he does that, Spurs are the ones who determines his transfer fee, if they decide it's 150M, then it's 150M, if nobody can afford it, then its not Spurs' problem, if Kane was in final year of his deal, Spurs would be in weaker position and would need to negotiate a fee with a potential buyer.

I guess it all depends if your a glass half empty or full kind of person. I’m very confident we will sign Sancho this window. Think he is tailor made for us to play both RW and LW. The money we bid for him last year should get the deal done with change left over. Player wants to come and Dortmund want to sell. It gets done.

Haaland I’m not as confident on. Lots of ifs and maybes, and dealing with his agent makes things more difficult. However if city do sign Kane and are therefore out of the picture I think we would be a massive chance. He has good relationship with Ole, he says he wants to go where he is wanted( we already tried to sign him). But we need to be a team capable of winning Prem and CL in order for him to come. In order for that to happen we need a good transfer window this summer and Sancho will be a great way to start it.
Do you think funds are there to sugn both? How about CM and CB positions?

if he stops playing (or starts to play very badly) what do Spurs win?

He's not going to do that is he, he's making it known he wants to leave all that means is if an acceptable offer comes in he want Spurs to accept it. He knows full well though Levy's not going to give him away and if that offer (£120m+) doesn't come in he's staying put

if he stops playing (or starts to play very badly) what do Spurs win?

Kane is the top goals scorer and the top assists provider this year in PL, they still win nothing and ended up 6th/7th, so to them if Kane goes, they will lose all hope to get top 4 again.

look, i'm not saying Spurs wont 'sell, they would, but any potential buyer would need to come to the table with a minimum of 100M or more as an opening offer, pre Covid19, they would not entertain 100M (most likely Spurs valued Kane at 200M or more pre Covid19), in the current market, no way Kane goes under 100M fee, no way.

no way Kane goes under 100M fee, no way.
He may just officially declare to the media that he no longer wants to be associated with Spurs in any way or form and handle a transfer request.

There is no difference for Spurs whether they have Kane or they don’t: who cares whether it’s 6th, 8th or 10th place? All the same.

not for man city, they only need one signing this summer to replace Aguero so makes sense for them. We need 3 players and with Cavani staying another year Kane just wouldnt get the game time.

We need Varane, Rice and Sancho and we will be better equipped for all comps.

His preference will be to stay in Premier League for sure. City are an obvious choice, though it isn't impossible he goes to either United or Chelsea. But with Cavani staying and Levy not willing to negotiate with Chelsea, plus City guaranteeing trophies for Kane think he'll go there in the end.

Kane wouldn't get the game time with Cavani here ? in what world he wouldn't be a start and Cavani back up for him ?

I agree that we likely won't go for him, but it won't be because he wouldn't get the game time with Cavani here.

And city have never spent that kind of money on one go, so let's see.

It makes sense theoretically but just can't see it happening.

There isn't a single club in the world who will pay Spurs £120-130 million for Kane - both us, Chelsea and City theoretically can do it - but that will basically blow the entire budget for the summer. For all their wealth, Chelsea and City have never had a season net-spend substantially over £100 million, and that was before the pandemic. And the problem now is - we can say Henderson is worth £30 million, Lingard £30 million, Martial £30 million etc - and Chelsea and City can do the same with their fringe-players - but how many clubs can afford to pay £30 million for anyone right now ? So realistically there should be a lot of players + cash in this transfer window.

Normally you need 2-3 big signings to get the market rolling - but you could easily be stuck with a situation where none of the big clubs can afford to sign a big player without offering players as part of the deal.

City don't need much other than a striker right? They've got quality and depth in other positions, perhaps they need a DM if Fernandinho is to leave but that's it. They don't usually spend too much on one player but Kane guarantees them 20/25+ goals a season in PL for next 4 years at least.

Kane is City bound in my eyes and who could blame him, the chance to work with one of the world's best managers in a team that is winnning silverware.
I'd love Kane at UTD, but the huge fee involved, his age and injury record does make me think we wouLd be better suited spending our money on Sancho and Rice and stick with Cavani/Martial for now.

If we sell Pogba id go for Grealish.Would love to see Jack play for us, modern day Gazza, would flourish with us no doubt about that.

If Lingard, Mata, Matic,Dalot, Telles ,Pereira, Jones, all go it frees up the wages and poss money for a CB too.

I'd throw the kitchen sink at him. He basically guarantees 25 goals a season in the EPL, and a few assists.
If Pogba goes, Grealish should come in.
Kane, Grealish and a DM and next summer we just need to add some competition at RB and another CB. Yes, it leaves RW out, but one of Greenwood and Diallo should make that position their own.

Sancho coming in would still leave a big question mark on our team, who scores them goals? That's a question that Kane will answer week in, week out.

City have probably already told Kane they'll go to 100m as an exception and it's his job to try and convince Levy to let him fulfill his potential and take into account the great service he's given to Spurs

With City already strong having won 3/4 and 5/9 leagues it's not as bad as improving a United or Chelsea if you're a club hoping to get back in the top 4.

This interview is going to put more pressure on Levy to sell him. I just wish it was Utd but it looks like he will join city for easy trophy.

on the bolded part, you really think he would do that?

on the second part, although Spurs squad isn't much apart from Kane & Son, Kane's importance comes from his value, he strengthens any top 4 side he joins instantly, that itself is worth something huge to Spurs, City are too strong and with Kane, it's hard to see them not win the league again, us and Chelsea we become title contenders with Kane, Kane at Liverpool will do wonders. Kane might not be able to achieve anything with Spurs' weak squad, but that doesn't meant he isn't important to Spurs, he is the most valuable asset they've got and they would demand top dollar to sell him.

You can bet your arse that Levy will at least drag this down till deadline day. Let's see who are the schmucks who get rolled with them.
