Most likely City I think
With them constantly winnings trophies, then I guess for Kane it would make sense for him to want to go there (as much as it pains me to say that).
Most likely City I think
Duncan Castles on Transfer Window podcast yesterday said Utd have already had contract talks with his representatives to get an idea of the package he would want circa 300k a week. We are the club most advanced in talks with his representatives though that doesnt mean much at moment.
A few weeks back it was mentioned on that show that the glazers were ready to signoff on a marquee signing this summer as an attempt to quell the fan discontent and that Kane was top of the wanted list.
I can see levy dragging this out all summer. £80-90mil sounds right to me in this environment. Whoever gets him is getting a helluva goal machine. Really hope its us and not city. Though you cant rule Chelsea out.
Interesting on Sky that they believe Kane already has a club lined up... otherwise it wouldn't have come out that he wants to leave.
If that's true, then I wonder which club it is?
Could it be Utd with us using the Ings situation as a smokescreen?
We barely ever do part exchange deals, but we did for Rojo with Nani going on loan.
If we did offer one to keep the price down and still go after other players I'm thinking the only one we could offer that Spurs might take would be Martial + £50 million or something like that
They dont need Lindelof, Fred, James, Van De Beek or anyone else that we could be looking to improve on and would let go.
I fecking wish Sanchez had gone to CityI was convinced RVP and Sanchez was going to City and I’m convinced Kane is too. Hoping this plays out the same way as the other 2 transfers.
We can afford Kane and Sancho but can also afford to improve our defence and midfield. If they want upfront cash, we have access to credit at a 0.5% interests rate for instalment payments to cover Kane and Sancho upfronts. We cleared a lot of the instalment payments we spent from 2015 to 2019. Maguire, Bruno, Telles, Amad, Pellistri, James, AWB and VDB were all paid upfront or in 2 instalments.
But I don't think we'll get both because Glazers is not ambtious.

Think they would maybe be interested in Jesse too looking at his form on loan at West Ham
Kane -> City
Haaland -> Chelsea
Sancho -> Liverpool
Mbappe -> Real Madrid
Ronaldo -> PSG
Ings -> United
Don’t shoot the messenger.I know nothing
We're after Ings instead, that'll teach them.
As Spurs supporter I just don’t see it happening this summer. I think this is one of those where the groundwork is getting set up for something next year because the deal is so big.
I don’t really see Kane kicking up a fuss as he’s a supporter of the club and I don’t see Levy selling to any rivals (the Chelsea links are genuinely laughable) I also don’t see Levy selling for a penny less than 120 million which I think is a price point that’s going to mean the deal can’t really get done this year. There’s not really enough pressure on the club to sell really with Kane still having several years left on his contract and the fact that he won’t be kicking up a fuss.
It sucks as a Spurs supporter but ultimately I understand it. I’ll just have to enjoy the time with him that we’ve got left.
Doubt PL will be boring.I rather have Sancho than Kane, but if it means City get him PL will be boring
Apart from the Spanish Giants, City is the only other team that Haaland would prefer to go to ahead of us. I think it makes sense for us to get Sancho in and fix the RW issue which has plagued us since CR7 left us. Given how well Sancho would be flourishing at United, with the help of Ole, we could get Haaland to join us assuming Kane ends up at City. Getting Sancho in gives us the ability to strengthen our CB and CDM. I think if we can get Sancho, Varane/ Kounde, and Bissouma, this would be one of our best summer windows in a long long time.
While you are at it just add Bruno, VVD, Salah to the list.I can't help but think the beef that Roy Keane had with his Dad, will ultimately be the reason that he goes to City instead of us.
Imagine if City sign him, Kane and Grealish?
Everyone else would just give up before a ball is even kicked.
Yeah I agree with this. Great as it would be to get Kane, now that Canavani has signed up for another year I think it’s more important to improve in other areas.
Think if city sign Kane then we would be a massive chance to sign Haaland next summer. To do that we need a good transfer window this summer to convince him he can win major trophy’s here.
Sign Sancho early and then get a quality CB and Cm. If you build it he will come....
As good as city will be if they sign Kane I’d be more than happy with it if the final outcome was that we got Sancho and Haaland.
You think a player rejecting a professional choice just because of his father's feud would have the proper mindset to play for us?I can't help but think the beef that Roy Keane had with his Dad, will ultimately be the reason that he goes to City instead of us.

I would reserve my judgement for next season for the time being. I am simply talking about their goals - finish top 4 comfortably and try to win a trophy.How would a top four finish be in any way comfortable for Spurs next season, with or without Mourinho? they'll be lucky to scrape 6th.
We need both really as we have neither. Any one of those would be great. Main thing is we don't add limited midfielders like the ones we already have - Fred, Mctominay etc or overly attacking ones like Pogba, Bruno etc . Basically add more passers/playmakers in midfield.So are you in the camp who thinks we need more of a tempo controlling CM rather than a ball winning break the lines with quality passes type CDM because I really cannot decide which would fit us better at the moment. I do agree that if we could end up with Jadon & Haaland then could live with missing out on Kane

However I don't believe this is a big priority for the management
It is extremely unlikely that United sign both. The probability of signing neither is much more higher imo, but one can dream.Yeah I agree with this. Great as it would be to get Kane, now that Canavani has signed up for another year I think it’s more important to improve in other areas.

I guess it all depends if your a glass half empty or full kind of person. I’m very confident we will sign Sancho this window. Think he is tailor made for us to play both RW and LW. The money we bid for him last year should get the deal done with change left over. Player wants to come and Dortmund want to sell. It gets done.It is extremely unlikely that United sign both. The probability of signing neither is much more higher imo, but one can dream.
Haaland I’m not as confident on. Lots of ifs and maybes, and dealing with his agent makes things more difficult. However if city do sign Kane and are therefore out of the picture I think we would be a massive chance. He has good relationship with Ole, he says he wants to go where he is wanted( we already tried to sign him). But we need to be a team capable of winning Prem and CL in order for him to come. In order for that to happen we need a good transfer window this summer and Sancho will be a great way to start it.
I still think Haaland has his eyes set on Barca or Real, but he might well want to play in PL first. So if he were to come I'd think he stay for a good 4-5 years or so.
Signing Sancho could actually be a big boost for us, since they clearly play well together and Haaland knows he will help him bag goals
Why not offer Spurs Henderson and Lingard + some money for Kane. I am not willing to discard Martial after one poor season. But I honestly don't rate Henderson enough and if we value Henderson and Lingard at £70 mill (I am not saying they are worth that - but I don't feel Kane is worth £130-140 million either)
So offer Spurs ´£30 million + Henderson and Lingard - and we might settle on £50 million + those 2.
We will end up paying £50 million for Kane + a keeper who isn't good enough and a midfielder who hasn't played for us the entire season. That will be a good deal for both clubs I think.
Apparantly Lingard only wants to go to a CL club..

If all those bonding and him being given a professional career head-start by Ole at Molde isn't enough to wash away his father's feud, then I rate this guy's mentality lower than Tevez and Di Maria.
Of course I'm only speculating, but it is a real possibility.
The Tevez era was a player that gave his all, but the club wouldn't pay what was a few million more to sign him - because his ownership rights were part of a third party ownership. So despite Tevez leaving everything out there on the pitch, United only ever loaned his services.
Di Maria endured an attempted burgalry on his home when he was dining inside with his family... scaffolding poles being smashed through the windows would be enough to unsettle anybody - let alone a foreign person trying to settle into a new country. So there was no surprise that he didn't last at United for too long.
