Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

You have heard of levy right? He would rather hold on to kane, and hope they can do well enough. If bayern offer 100m eur they will sell him. If we offered they would want 125m
Everyone knows the kind of person Levy is. Of course Levy would love to sell Kane to Bayern…. assuming Kane is willing to go?

However, Levy is going to look a proper idiot if Kane decides to stay and walk out on a free to whatever PL club he chooses, possibly linking up with his mate Poch if Chelsea make top 4…. Spurs fans will fecking love that!

“Kane could earn as much as £400,000-a-week if he chooses to sign a new contract at Spurs rather than eye a departure”

He might as well ask them for a stake in the club and getting a seat on the board.

Bayern offered Haaland a huge salary (35M/year) a year ago. The German champion is a rich club. Why did the Norwegian choose City? More money, fear of rivalry vs Lewandowski or a desire to change country? No one knows, cuz I don't think anyone predicted that he would play at such a high level in his debut season in the Premier League.

The bookmakers are increasingly favouring a move for Kane. A week ago, they were giving him a 66% chance of staying at Spurs, but they are now down to around 50%. German sources are almost certain that Kane will be playing in Munich next season.

Lewandowski at Bayern had the highest xg/90 in the top 5 leagues for 8 seasons (1.05). Kane at Spurs had almost half (0.57). It is impossible to play as well as Harry did last season (efficiency, goals/xg = 139%). However, even playing with an efficiency of 110-120%, that's the averaged he has at Spurs.... He will score 40 goals each season in the Bundesliga.

btw. Kane played 3405 out of a possible 3420 minutes last season. Maybe this is the deciding factor why Bayern want only him.

I’m curious as to where you got those specifications - where do you see sponsorship, branding and prize money gets them that much. What prizes have they won when he’s there?????? If you’re referring to top 4, they didn’t get it last season and look less likely this season.

but seriously - where is the proof for that?
There's no specifications but having the England captain, a talismanic scorer, and someone who wins points on his own is worth a lot of money.

Also yeah we didn't get top 4 last year. Can you imagine where we would have finished without Kane?

We're a MUCH better team with Kane than without. That's worth A LOT of money. I feel weird having to even say that.

Everyone finds Kane boring, myself included, but he's out there. He literally just did Hot Ones and given his low key, marry your childhood sweatheart, no troubles or tabloids persona he is and has been incredibly marketable. He makes Tottenham a lot of money. He and Son are basically what our branding and advertising deals are based on.

He might as well ask them for a stake in the club and getting a seat on the board.
Wouldn't be surprised if we literally do offer a stake in the club tbh. Some amount of shares would likely exchange hands if he were to re-sign.

Nothing major, but I'd find that would be incredibly likely to offer.

Genuinely the best striker we could possibly get for right now. United need to get their shit together and just put an irresistible bid in for him. Feck it

Yep, I belong in this school of thought. Kane > a new goalkeeper, another midfield player or anyone else for that matter. Winning the league, though still unlikely, will not be outside the realms of possibility if we get him.

It will really irritate me if he signs for Bayern. It’s such a sideways move for his career to go there and it just gets Levy out of a massive hole.

Stand firm Harry and remember how Levy messed you around 2 years ago. Dial it in for this season and break the premier league record at Old Trafford in 24/25.

Spurs to Bayern a sideways move. Ok.

Bayern is a sideways move from Spurs??

Bayern > Spurs

Bundesliga < Premier League

English scoring record > Bundesliga title

Result for Kane’s career - sideways move.

Even if we signed Kane, who do you think would be bigger favourites to win their league and the champions league next year?

If we signed Kane, I’d put us higher on the list to win the CL. Suspect the bookies would as well.

As for the league, the answer to that is obvious but that’s not a plus point in my view.

The actual English scoring record is 140+ goals away, he's almost certainly not getting that. And it's staggeringly arrogant to claim that 'top scorer since 1992' is more important than a league title.

Also, it's Bayern >>>>> Spurs, Premier League > Bundesliga. Which changes your equation somewhat.

He's far away from that.

I agree it’s still an outside shot but it’s probably the best anyone has had in the last 50 years. Two seasons of 30+ goals at a top club and it starts to look feasible.

Even if Bayern doesn't win next 5 league titles, they will be few levels ahead of Spurs. Doesn't matter if it's PL or Bundesliga.

Right now it's 8/1 vs 16/1. I doubt Kane would bridge that... and of course from his POV it would make much more sense to go to the already strong team if he wants to win it.

I was surprised Bayern were 8/1 in all honesty. I think that’s overrating them. I think they are a team on the decline and need a lot more investment than just Kane. I’d currently have City massive favourites and then Real/Barca with Bayern/PSG/the other English clubs a bit further back.

He has averaged 24 goals a season for Spurs for 9 years. At a better club, I could easily see him keep that up for five years (look at Benzema and Lewa). That would put him at 120 more goals. He would only need 20 more goals the next three to five years to reach 140 goals.

I would not put that beyond him.

IMO they will be typified in 2nd place (after City) to win the CL. If the Bayern directors are sure that they won't be able to sign Kane this season or next, then they will buy another top striker (Kolo Muani, Osimhen). They playing without a goalie (Sommer is not Neuers level) and without a striker last season. They easily won the strongest CL group and eliminated PSG without any problems. If they had drawn any other club than City in the 1/4 they would have had a good chance of progressing to the final.

I’m content with Kane staying at Spurs this summer. It doesn’t feel we have the cash to push for a move to us to happen now, so him being available free next summer is the best fallback option for us. If we get a young striker in now, it gives us options if they don’t hit the ground running.

That said, that post above does read a little like something from Kane’s team to put the pressure on Levy. “I’m just going to sit here for a season and you’ll get nothing next summer” is not the message Dan wants to hear.

Makes sense he should leave on a free then have his pick of clubs and collect a big sign on. If he signs a new deal he's a bit silly though unless it's ridiculous Saudi type money.

I continue to be baffled by Spurs.

You hire a new manager, who's style of football is world's apart from Conte's, and you know he will not change this style for anyone.

The players Ange has are nowhere near the profile he needs. This season will inevitably have ups and downs as new players come in, and the team adapts. They will not finish Top 4.

Keeping Kane; who is almost certain to leave next season, is only delaying the inevitable rebuild without him. If you sell him, you accelerate the process and buy suitable players for your new manager.

This of course means... Levy will keep Kane. Ange will be sacked for not getting the results from his frankenstien squad and Kane leaves on a free next summer.

And, as a neutral, the meltdown at Spurs when this happens will be entertaining. Hence why Kane getting Levy out of this hole by agreeing to move abroad will really irritate me!

Getting Rasmus for 50/60 million this summer and Kane on a free next summer would be phenomenal business.... Sets us up nicely for the next 3/5 years.

crying at at anyone describing Spurs to Bayern as a 'sidewards step'

Bayern are of the the genuine giants of world football & Munich is an amazing city to live in

Funny. Who cares about the English scoring record when you do not do well with your club in Europe. He is on rank 60 in the alltime scoring list in the Champions League.
