Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

We have too many squad problems to blow a ton of money needed to get Kane. If everything else with the team was perfect then go for it.

If we got someone like Hojlund in and he contributed minimum 15 goals in all comps next season and shows signs of living up to his potential, then we can all laugh at this whole Kane thing as Levy loses him for free next year and how we didn’t get suckered into paying a nine figure sum.

We have to get experienced goalscorer too

If you want him you have to go in with a big offer that levy can’t refuse. Bayern won’t pay 100mil for him. I know I’m in the minority but I think he’s worth that to us, he is literally the best striker we could possibly get right now. World class and more than premier league proven. He is exceptional. Would he come to us next season? Surely he will have multiple options on a free? I’d love it if we went all out for him.

I would say that for the overhelming majority of fans and players actually winning trophies is generally seen as the competitive goal of football. And there are countless other achievements that, while much rarer, are nonetheless clearly less valuable.

I'd take winning the Bundesliga over that goals record in a heartbeat.

Its also A LOT different when you haven't won a single trophy. Kane is staring down the possibility of retiring as by far the best player of the modern era (in any major European league) never to win a single trophy.

I think winning that first trophy is kind of like losing your virginity. The longer you go without doing it, the more it becomes your overarching priority. Kane is at the point where he just needs to get laid, whether that's some skanky German girl or whoever. Once he knows that he won't retire as the 40-year-old virgin, he can figure out what else he wants to do with his career.

My bet is you've never played any type of semi serious sport. It's all about the feeling and emotion and experience of the whole journey, the moment you win some silverware mate. It's very explosive and very hard to describe that. I cried like a baby when we won a fecking Sunday league tournament 12 years ago. Have you seen any player crying when they got the golden boot or break a record?

I played rugby at a semi professional level, local towns for 12 years, represented myself at schools, on a national stage, level as a kid. I know the feeling of winning something, but it never really lasted longs after the week of the win.

 great analogy.

Cant explain any better than this. So his best bet is to join either Bayern or Real Madrid this summer.

So he is Levy's bitch for not moving but when he might actually move to one of the biggest clubs in the world he is still Levy's bitch? Guy can't catch a break with you lot.

The opprobrium Kane will receive will be second only to that which Murtough et al receive for not offering to blow the entire summer budget on him.

It's kind of a shame he isn't going to Madrid for his sake. He'd have a shot at the Balon Dor playing for them and winning the UCL. Would love him at OT but can't see Levy allowing it.

Bayern by a mile, Real Madrid actually face competition.
La Liga at least has a bit of competition, and Spain has better food and weather. Not he has a choice at the moment anyway. Only Bayern submitted an offer.

But is he known as a title winner or scoring the most goals in the PL? I’d say the latter.
True. Also, this is in spite of Shearer being the predominant reason why Blackburn won the title. Everyone knows that Bayern don't need Kane to win the Bundesliga. Hell, they tried their best to lose it this year and still managed to end up champions! And that's with Dortmund losing their best player this summer too.

2 months is plenty if you're competent tbh, Levy is gonna the downfall of Tottenham. It's crazy he is still in place the way he's been running things
He owns the club mate. And based on what I've read from some Spurs fans here they all fully support him and all think he always does the right thing for their club.
Seems like a you thing.
Not really imo. A footballer's career is very short. Money is very important of course but if you couldn't experience the magic moment you win something big you'll regret it for life.

Even as fan you'd feel incredible, extremely happy etc. if your team win something big. Multiple that by probably 100 and you'd get how a player feel at that moment I think. That's why good players always want to move to a team capable of challenging for silverware. Not only to decorate their career, to get paid better but also to experience those feeling. And most of them simply couldn't get enough of that. Varane, Casemiro had won it all with Madrid but you could clearly see how happy they're when we won a League cup for example.

We aren’t able to because of holes in both of the first XI and squad depth as well which is gutting

Oh god no, the majority of Spurs fans want him out of the club.

He doesn't own the club, Joe Lewis does

At this stage of Kane's career, a league title and chance to challenge CL probably is more important than a goal scoring record in my opinion. It is just like a world cup title is more important to Messi than Ballon d'Or ,Golden Ball or Golden boot award in the world cup.
He had pretty much won all of those prior to the last WC though. Personally, I'd rather be the top PL scorer of all time and probably win silverware (we won one and were unlucky not to win 2 cups this year with Wout feckin Weghorst up top so not a stretch to imagine) rather than definitely win a few Bundesligas that everyone knows Bayern didn't need me to win anyway. But I completely accept Kane may have a different perspective.

1 he is part owner and 2 I want him out to feck, yes I appreciate what he has done for us but his constant meddling in the football side of things has to stop. He is a very good businessman but he is only involved in spurs for profit.

I think this saga may still have a few twists and turns. This is likely to be the last big move of his career - if Bayern spend, say, £75 million for him then it's because they think they can get 4 good years out of him. They are not going to sell him back to the Prem at a cut price in 2 years time just cos Harry doesn't like the food, or he's realised that actually he does quite want to get that scoring record after all. Therefore he needs to really think carefully whether he wants to spend the next 4 years in Germany, cos he doesn't really strike me as the type. Normally this would be an obvious point, but this is the man who signed a 6 year deal at Spurs, and who is represented by his brother and Dad. I don't think I can remember a top career ever being managed so inexpertly.

Oh I didn't know this. Thanks for correcting me.

No worries. It’s probably the most annoying thing about supporting Spurs, Lewis is a billionaire and could inject a lot of cash if he wanted as we are far, far off FFP law, he just doesn’t want to. In 20 years of ownership I think, of their own money, they have put in about £200m

Trouble is those twists and turns are never gonna result in him starting the season here

Whilst he could you can also argue he's set Spurs up for the future, that new stadium is a cash cow and once it is paid for Spurs should have serious money to flash around

Probably not, but I can easily imagine a situation where Bayern aren't prepared to meet Levy's valuation and the transfer doesn't happen. Kane is pissed off, and the whole world now knows that he is up for leaving Spurs. United come in with an offer a fair chunk higher than Bayern - Kane senses it's now or never and openly pushes for a move.

It's unlikely but not completely impossible.

Still much better than ours I think. At least they've put some money in. We're probably the only club in the world where the owner not only taking cash from the club but also make the club pay for the loan they got to buy it.

Anyway back to the topic, bad news it seems Bayern is quite serious about getting Kane. Around 75m + add ons and Levy will sell I think. Let's see what United gonna do but with the current takeover going on (forever) the chance we have 100m for Kane is quite small imo. I really want Kane here what a shame.
