Haha Newcastle

Howe is a dead man walking, they look as flat and clueless as we do.

Are they throwing the manager under the bus perhaps?

Strange decisions today I thought from Howe. Despite all their injuries, they stretched the squad too thin by not rotating and now are looking very tired already

At what point do we blame the Newcastle board? Or the players for downing tools on him?

Doesn't Ashworth whom we are supposedly interested in their DOF over there?

i was sorta being tongue in cheek in that whenever we're in a shit run of form - it's always a disaster and the players are throwing the manager under the bus.
But with newcastle nah it's that they're all poorly and tired

They looked like they had at least one player less today...

10 games since the restart of 25th of November probably explains it...

50,000 mugs but no cups. This is Newcastle.

Scummy club these days, will always enjoy them losing. I used to like Newcastle too, always had a soft spot for them

People really underestimate the impact that European football has on a domestic season, more so the CL than any. Newcastle just didn't have the squad to keep up with demands and now their season is just completely collapsing.

Media be feeling very sorry for them for some reason. They deserve better for some reason. Not sure why though.

Always felt Howe was the Hughes of this Newcastle set-up. They'll be looking to upgrade soon.

Their kick and rush style won't work every week, which is no big deal...but 4th last year and currently 7th this season hardly warrants the constant love in from the media.

Media will continue to defend and make excuses for them while stamping all over Man United. Wonder why

Stage 2 of the oil money playbook; sack the beginner manager and hire the next logical step up.

Real talk: when Pope got injured it was obvious they'd be trashed over December and drop like a rock. Similar story for ourselves and our threadbare back line. I don't see anything improving for them until February.

Following the loss of the Cup Final, they beat us in the League and had Sky cameras in the dressing room like it was their cup final.
Brighton did that carry on last season also. Do those idiots think they were beating prime Ferguson Man United teams?

Because they're a smaller club and people have lower expectations of them.
For this season they didn't. Most people had them locked in the top 4 whereas United were always predicted to fall out.

They've been out on their feet since they ran themselves into the ground against us

Don't know about that, 4th last season in a campaign where Chelsea and Liverpool faltered. United finished ahead of them and seemingly got the players we wanted, Liverpool picked up Mac Allister and Szoboszlai early etc. City and Arsenal looked nailed on.

I'll have to check out some other predictions, but you can get all the BBC correspondent's predictions in one place and United were predicted for top 4 much more often than them. 21 out of 27 for United, 5 for Newcastle.

Edit: There's another 8 pundits making their picks here - https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/sport/football/premier-league-2023-24-predictions/

1 had Newcastle for top 4, 5 went for United.

I know we're biased on here, but there's this too - Loads having Newcastle miss out, mostly around 6th, quite a few not even having them make the top 6 - https://www.redcafe.net/threads/predict-the-top-6-2023-24-edition.478409/

Chris Wood absolutely wiped his arse in one of their defenders for the second goal  Since when is he a dribbler?

I never knew how spot on Jimmy Carr's Geordie impersonation was until I heard Anthony Gordon speak in Newcastle Christmas vid.

Unless he's not a Geordie, than his Antony Gordon impersonation was spot on. Even more so since he did it when Anthony was about 3.
