That's exactly what's happened.
Yes, and that's a good thing. A lot of people think this is way too much, that's what I'm referencing.
That's exactly what's happened.
Maybe he is ashamed. How do you know he is not ashamed? If he just has to release a public apology that someone wrote for him and that's it, why feel ashamed? He doesn't have to be dropped or heavily fined or executed or anything, but he should be seriously criticized and ridiculed by the public, and he should be told in very clear terms by both England and United that he's a fecking moron and that he has to be better.
Maybe he is ashamed. How do you know he is not ashamed?
He is already being criticized enough. He made a mistake. Which people can identify with immaturity because of age. He got kicked out from the team, the club has obviously talked to him and made him apologize. All people are suggesting is to move on.
Unless of course you want people to keep chanting "Shame!! Shame!!" whenever he is out in public and whenever he plays.
That's fair, but I get the feeling you aren't happy with that. He's been publically embarrased, dropped from the squad and made to apologise.Yes, and that's a good thing. A lot of people think this is way too much, that's what I'm referencing.

Let's move on now, it's been dealt with sufficiently i'd say. I doubt he will make the same mistake again.
That's so lacking in context.26 pages of a single 18 year old bringing a bird back to his hotel room.
It’s been a slow week out there
It’s not really if you work a 9-5That's so lacking in context.
It really is. You're completely missing the things that got him into trouble and are the reasons for any discussion on the matter. It’s not really if you work a 9-5
So whatever has happened is not enough. That's it, almost no repercussions and yet that's probably enough.
So whatever has happened is fine.I've even straight out said that the reaction that has happened so far is probably fine

So whatever has happened is fine.
Do you see why your statements are confusing? If someone sees a punishment and says "That is nothing" it obviously means that the person thinks there should be more punishments.
Am I missing something here?
I don't think there is an overwhelming majority out here who are saying Southgate went too far by dropping him or United went too far by making him issue an apology statement, if that is what you are suggesting.
He's already achieved 100x of what Ravel has at the senior level so I wouldn't worry about that. Their situations are completely different, one unprofessional action doesn't make you Ravel Morrison ffsI really hope that Mason doesnt become another Ravel. Hopefully, a kick up the arse will sort him out.
All starting to come out now

"Greenwood and Foden didn't obey the rules so I had to make sure we didn't lose the match"How did Greenwood and Foden end up getting blamed by Southgate for him being an average coach? Twilight zone stuff now.

"Greenwood and Foden didn't obey the rules so I had to make sure we didn't lose the match"
I thought Southgate did a good job at first but he's going a bit bonkers recently.
Aye I thought the things he was saying about that were a bit weird.
I feel like England did finally play some good football under Southgate, the matches away to Spain and Germany especially seemed a breathe of fresh air compared to what we've had recently under Hodgson/Capello and the rest. This is off topic but I've always felt he was over-promoted. He got lucky against Colombia in the World Cup, we totally lost control of that game and were very lucky their best players were injured and they're even less good at penalties than we are. Then against Croatia he again showed his inability to manage a lead.
The media absolutely adores Southgate so he's bulletproof from criticism. However, if he's the best coach England can find that says a lot.
The stuff he's come out with since the game midweek has been Moyes-esque too and, rather than protecting his players, is putting the pressure on two kids.
Yes, Greenwood (and Foden) should know better. However, I remember how stupid I was at that age. If I had stacks of cash and girls at the ready every time I picked up my phone would I do the sensible thing? Kyle Walker is older than both and he was having orgy parties during lockdown. Its not whataboutery, its a question of showing even grown men aren't always able to do the right thing so don't expect teenagers to behave like saints.

I feel he's just trying to be a bit too clever? 3-4-3 against Iceland and Denmark but the team looked completely clueless. 2 inexperienced DM's in Rice and Philipps playing together clearly didn't work either.
England does have a bit of a hole in CM and we need somebody that can carry the ball/break the lines. Grealish would have been perfect but he only wants to play him as a wide player.
Needs a firm hard slap, just like SAF did with Giggs and Sharpe after their infamous house party night out.Didn't know about the parties, not good if true
Think it needs Ole to take him in hand a bit, we know how he dealt with J Lingz infamous video and as far as I'm aware he hasn't done anything since.
He's had quite a rapid rise to "stardom" so perhaps it's gone to his head, however he needs to be shown how he needs to behave or how what could be an excellent career could be affected- perhaps the same with all the younger players.
Does he have a good family around him? Id also try and get one of the senior players to try and get close to him so hopefully he can spend more time with them rather than bad influences. Rashy or Bruno or similar.
I always thought we tried to be quite careful with our handling of him, not letting him do interviews etc.
Ole comes across as someone who should be quite good at handling this sort of thing, especially being a father himself so hopefully he can get him sorted out. It was something Sir Alex was always good at, I know Ronaldo especially saw him as a father figure.
As soon as he was called up to England, he lost all the protection that United gave him. He is fair game to the English press now and if he doesn't handle himself properly they will always be a thorn on his side. He could do well to look up to Rashford who has turned out to be a wonderful human being campaigning for social justice. You rarely get Britain or England United but Rashford has struck a chord with the British public. When you get Liverpool Football Club tweeting their support for a Manchester United player you know you are special. Rashford should be Greenwood's role model. If he ignores that he will regret. We have all seen it before. Talent alone means nothing if the attitude is wrong. You are either Marcus Rashford or Ravel Morrison. Not a hard choice to make if you are Greenwood. This second story (Strike 2!!)about Mason Greenwood holding rowdy parties in a Airbnb suggests the press are now very much on his tail.
Don't spit in the street or fart in public Mason, otherwise the press will swoop in for Strike 3!
The press have a target painted on your back now lad!
Ole needs to get a grip on Greenwood (like Fergie did on Giggs) otherwise a danger of Mason going the way of Lee Sharpe.
I just hope people in here are as consistently hard on themselves as they are on 18 year old, famous, athlete, millionaires.26 pages of hysteria after an 18 year old let his hormones make a bad decision for him.
Tune in next week when we burn down a church after the Pope lets slip he's a Catholic.

no-one gives a toss about you so I doubt itIf social media had been any more advanced than Bebo when I was 18 I'd probably be locked up somewhere.

80% of us in here would if all our mates had camera phones when we were growing up. Kids are fecking stupid, and I say that as someone who worked with difficult and challenging behaviour in high schools for 10 years. A lot of people have forgotten what it was like to be that young and stupid. If social media had been any more advanced than Bebo when I was 18 I'd probably be locked up somewhere.
Sharpe takes up the story:
“I'd bought a new Barratt or Wimpey new-build house in Altrincham. Giggsy's still living at home with his mum.
“Giggsy rings me up. 'Oh, we'll go out in Stockport, Thursday night. We're alright, we don't have to play until Sunday. We're fine.'
A taxi had been ordered to take the pair and some friends to Stockport but, when a knock on the door sounded soon after, the group got a shock.“Yeah, come down.”
the Midlander remembered.“At 10 o'clock, the manager knocks on the door,”
“Giggsy's mate answers the door with the only two bottles of beer I've got left in the house from the weekend before!
“One of the lads run upstairs and says: 'You'll never guess what? The manager's downstairs!'
“I'm like 'Oh, no he's not, he's not.' I'm putting the final touches to my barnet.
'No, no, the manager's downstairs!'
“No you're joking.”
“So I peer over the stairs. The manager's got the scarlet face on, with a bit of froth in the corner of his mouth.
“'Get these c**** out of this house! I want a word with you and that Giggs! Get in that living room!'”
Though Ferguson held no authority over the non-United members of Sharpe's party, the legendary Scot quickly assumed control.
continues Sharpe.“He's booting everybody out the front door,”
“Kicking them up the backside, smacking them around the back of the head.
“He absolutely rips into me and Giggsy. 'You're finished at this club! You can't head it, you can't pass it, you can't run! You're letting your team-mates down, you're letting your mum and dad down, you're letting your family down!'
“Then he's over to Giggsy, doing the same. 'You! You're letting your mum down, letting your family down... There's married men out there with kids, supporting their kids!'”
The tale took a surreal twist when Ferguson was accosted by a new canine acquaintance of Sharpe's, and then learned of the player's hitherto unknown musical aspirations.
“As he's doing this [the hairdryer], I've got a big double door leading into a dining room and a big set of sparkling drums that fill the dining room,”laughed our then no.5.“And a big St Bernard dog that's just trying to mount the gaffer while he's telling me off!
“He looks up and he goes: 'What the f*** are they! Why do you need f****** drums!?'
“I rang my mum and dad up and said: 'I think I'm getting sacked in the morning.' Nightmare! That's Giggsy again – he always got me into trouble!”
Ole needs to do what Fergie did to Lee Sharpe and Giggs
Not everyone is like Rashford.
