Greenwood and Foden kicked out of England squad for bringing girls into hotel room

Any pictures or link of the two girls that were smuggled in? I also do not understand are there no security stationed at the hotel 24/7? How easy or lax the security was it for that to happen?

Yeah I dont think Southgate had any choice at all, and I also don't think you can blame it on the England set up or not protecting the players as it's pretty hard to protect players any more than by restricting them to isolating in a hotel.

The statement by Greenwood says all the right things IMO. It's obviously a PR brief but it's good that he's said it and that someone's at least had that conversation with him. You're allowed a feck up at his age. It's more about what the reaction is.

Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

Given how much past incidents are brought up, Greenwood is going to be paying for this for a long while

Would have thought England will be employing their own security guards to guard the place especially the lobby and lifts as such, or least security provided by the hotel. You know, like protection and well being of the players living upstairs to avoid being disturbed by the public. Perhaps i'm wrong

If was a world cup in a football mad place like Brazil, yes of course.

This is a friendly in Iceland, where nobody would really know they were staying (unless invited in!) and they were only there for a couple of days.

Have i opened up a can of worms? The pictures don't look great to be honest and looks like the Caf are in unison

jesus, surely they can do alot better.

They might be millionaire footballers but neither of them are a catch themselves. If they were ordinary teens, these girls would probably be the absolute best they could probably ever do, on a superficial basis

Nah. If he stays focused and plays well then it'll be forgotten about before long. It'll become a stick to beat him with if he is seen as slacking.

He'll also no doubt get slagged off as soon as his form drops for more than a few games as is generally the case with young players, but that would happen regardless because it always does.

Honestly finding it hard to care.
What a great debut for England! Well done, Mason! He has scored so...

Is it wrong that I only care that our guy got the supermodel not the law student? Or was it a foursome?

.

Exactly what I'm referring to. It shouldn't but it will and that's the price he'll pay

They're kids and they've been punished. End of story as far as I'm concerned.
What about the deep embarrassment they have caused to Southgate, Holy English Team, the Manchester clubs, City of Manchester, to the nation and the Queen.
Media is not going to let this slip. Young kids should be harassed to the point they cry in public over it.

Question is why would anyone high profile person ever would get near attention seekers like that? Discretion is a supowerpower these days

I probably would if I was bored but I'd need a couple of pints in me.

Have to say I'm pretty disappointed that this is even a "saga". At least they're not both black I suppose, we'd never hear the end of it in the Daily Mail. Could you imagine if it happened to Sterling!

The girls are apparently denying that they knew the boys are footballers. I mean who would even believe them? Obviously they knew the two are famous footballers and looking to make themselves famous over it
Of course they didn't know. Which is why they recorded it and made sure they show their phones in the video and made sure that they had the full names of footballers in their contacts.

So which one is the law student and which one did Mason shag?

The one on the right. And given the size of the room I'm going to say both if not all three

Both their instagram is probably open.
Very good moment for their Intsta and tiktok modelling careers.
Oldest trick in the book and these two young men, supposedly educated in every aspect of being a modern footballer, fell for it, hook line and sinker.

Oh don't worry, they're already working overtime on it

If only the press had the same energy and fire to hold lawmakers accountable that they always do for young athletes...

Dude, they have that chance every day of the week if they want to. It's not like this was their only chance of getting some action for the foreseeable.
And don't you think they do this as often as they can. This time they were caught that's the only difference

Since they’ve both apologised people should really move on now. They might just not be that bothered about playing for England, I wouldn’t blame them if they weren’t.
