It seems like these days big titles can only be released in October/November or May. Rockstar might break this pattern with this one though because it's obviously big enough to sell at any given date.
That Cheeta
I can't really see it coming out so soon because there's been so little said about it. Or I assume there has. I'm just going off this thread.

Are they making a sports game with guns? Virtua Tennis the Massacre?
... can't wait! We need a release date, we really do.
We should make a Redcafe 'crew' for this game. It's a new feature from Rockstar Games for their online multi-player games.
Competing in the GTA races on online multiplayer with friends on IV was one of the most fun online gaming experiences I've ever had. Loads of circuits to choose from and you can have settings like everyone is driving a faggio, bags of fun.

So glad parachutes are back. I used to love flying a plane as high as possible in San Andreas and then bailing out of it.
If they sort the online out proper this time it'll be great fun.
I was telling myself I would skip GTA 5 having bought GTA 4 but that is looking good. Very different visually too GTA 4.

Except supporting United is free.I don't know, online (and the game itself) could be slightly wobbly at times especially in menu's, but private lobbies with friends seemed to work great be it races, co-op or TDM.
What! That's like not supporting Manchester United because they finished runners up in the CL & PL the season before!
The European-based online retailer Zavvi.com has posted what appears to be a release date for Grand Theft Auto 5. When questioned, the retailer confirmed that the release date of November 23, 2012 was provided to them by their supplier.
"I can confirm that this is the release date forwarded by our supplier," said a spokesperson for Zavvi to Eurogamer PT. "If the release date changes, our website will be updated immediately."
Although the release date of Grand Theft Auto 5 has yet to be formally announced, game analysts like Michael Pachter have expressed their belief that the game may well be released this year.
Furthermore, previously revealed resumes of staff at Rockstar Games working on the game gave good indication that the game would be out around October. Given the nature of game development, there's a good chance that their internal release date of October have slipped by a month.
The game's release in November doesn't seem too far fetched given the company's recent ramping up of their marketing machine, which began with the release of three screenshots yesterday. Rockstar says that they plan to release more screenshots later this week.
There's a good chance that we'll hear a formal release date statement from Rockstar Games fairly soon.

Rockstar like there pre holiday releases and every game bar IV (because it got delayed) has released October/September. How ever it certainly won't be this year. We're in august, have one trailer, few screenshots and no other information.
Then again it's GTA... Rockstar could probably just release it to stores without telling anyone and it will still sell like hotcakes.
We'll more likely to see it November 23rd 2013.
A retail source has dismissed claims that Grand Theft Auto V will release on November 23.
Speaking to VideoGamer.com on the grounds of anonymity, our retail source told us that he would "bet my wife, my house and your life on [GTA V] not coming out this year".
Not THAT confident then
