Gaming Grand Theft Auto V | 2022: GTA+ (monthly GTA Online subscription) announced exclusively for PS5/Xbox Series

Now you mention a Casino Heist i can see a mission similar to the bank job one with Packie and co. That would have been perfect with a bit more indoor action which was hard within a bank but in a Casino it would be perfect. Add in some Chinese/Russian gangsters that you fight within the Casino who want the cash too and a Helicopter/Plane chase and i'd want to replay it over and over.

Love the vegas idea, it would be ideal. All the camp parodies that make GTA great, urban missions, scope for some celeb appearences as lounge acts......Sounds perfect. Although Tokyo and London would be great too.

Well what do you know... two new screenshots released today:

“What is going on with GTAV?” – received via Mouthoff

We are very busy working on the game! Everything is going well, but the game is a huge project. We should have more information and some new assets for you soon.

“Why don’t you give us more news?” – received via Mouthoff

As we have said before, we have often had long gaps between asset releases on previous games and will continue to do so in the future. We are sorry if you find this frustrating, but please understand, we don’t do this because we ‘don’t care about our fans' 'don’t respect our fans’ 'hate GTA fans etc' – precisely the opposite! We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100% correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it. The only things we care about are that you enjoy the experience of actually playing the game and that we release accurate information. We just have not been in a position to show more of the game than the trailer and will not be for a while yet. We did, however, manage to sneak a quick screenshot out for you… it’s not much, but we thought it was pretty fun.

*screenshot 1*

Then of course our art team said that no single shot could encapsulate the game properly, so they gave us another...

*screenshot 2*

We will try and get some more screens for you soon and then another trailer when we are ready.

"The above link is a video I have found of apparent lighting test of GTA V. Can you disclose weather this is real or fake. Thank you in advance :) – received via Mouthoff

Now that we’ve announced GTAV, all the way up until game launch (and probably beyond) there is going to be no shortage of non-stop hoaxes, faked footage and screens, rampant rumors and speculation. As a rule, we are not going to get into the game of confirming or denying each of these as they happen as there is simply too much of it. Half of them we don’t even understand – for example, we have no idea what ‘the build model’ is, so have no idea if it is complete or not! Instead, we’ll leave it to fans like yourselves to decide what’s legit and what’s phony. Please assume if you don’t hear it here, it is probably mostly fakes and almost definitely not the complete truth.
One thing we’ll say definitively though is – there is absolutely no ‘beta’ test for the game. If you see ads or solicitations to join a beta program, beware as this could be a dodgy online phishing scam. Your best bet is to only trust information as official if you’re seeing it announced here at the Rockstar Newswire.

“Hey guys hope everything is good over there in Rockstar. Just a question referring to GTA 4, the game was brilliant and I really enjoyed and still do, but what disappointed me was the lack of planes and jets... Can you tell me why you didn't include them, I'm sure you have a very valid reason?” – via Mouthoff

The city was simply too small for effective and enjoyable flying. It was the first time we made a high definition open world, and it was a massive amount of work to make something on that scale – we simply could not make an environment big enough for planes to work properly. Fear not, they are returning in what is our biggest open world game to date.

Shittest screens ever but made me get a little bit excited. I'm such a kid.
This is probably one of the few games where I believe it when they say they care about the project and the fans. No one gets close to what they create.

It's amazing what some folk can do, for those asking about the map, this is the one I've most seen touted as a leak
GTA-V-Map-1.jpg

Most of the other ones I've seen on Google tend to be fan made for GTAV.net, at this stage I severely doubt there are any leaks at all in public circulation though.

It looks a bit small, isn't it actually smaller than Liberty City in GTA4 in that picture? I imagine it'll be twice the size of LC at least.

This bit excites me; when asked about planes in GTA IV:

"Fear not, they are returning in what is our biggest open world game to date."

San Andreas was massive, RDR was huge, V will be incredible!

doubt it. Liberty City was actually quite large, and there is more than just City in this one. Probably LA in Midnight club is how big it will be. I expect them to use alot of the buildings and data from that anyway.

I've been playing GTA4 these last couple of days, trying to catch up a little because I've already had it twice before and didn't get past 10% completion - my 360 gave in the first time I had it and then when I had it for PS3 the disc got scratched.m

What an amazing game. The city is just immense. Surely the graphics can't get any better for GTA5 either?

Can people stop bumping this thread without any new information?

Can people stop bumping this thread without any new information?

If it helps there probably won't be any new information released anytime soon, and if there were then you can bet rockstar would milk an event out of it (like the week long countdown they had for the GTA IV trailer )

Therefore dont assume that these bumps are going to indulge you.

But I'm constantly in hope of a release date, it's even worse when VIM bumps the thread as he loves the game and you expect some kind of update with him.

Would anyone else be willing to sacrifice a game of huge scale for more buildings to explore?

Technically it was a beautiful game but I never warmed to the story. The likes of Jacob and Brucie were amazing characters though

I liked Niko. I thought he was the character I related to most in the whole series. But San Andreas' twist in the plot was better.

I would.

For all the detail they put in, there's very little interaction with the world outside of driving and shooting. Felt the same while playing RDR. A few mini-games and that's about it.

I think my life officially stops for around 2 months when this game hits the shelves...

Halfway through next year is out of the question IMO. T2 forecasted April 2013(or similar) share prices that would only be achievable through the release of GTAV. I would suggest GTA is big enough not to worry about being 'shown off' at Gamescon mind, I wouldn't be surprised if they released a second trailer just days after Gamescon itself.

That Cheeta

I can't really see it coming out so soon because there's been so little said about it. Or I assume there has. I'm just going off this thread.
