Gaming Grand Theft Auto V | 2022: GTA+ (monthly GTA Online subscription) announced exclusively for PS5/Xbox Series

GTA V featuring on the cover of PSM3 magazine, doubt there will be any new details mentioned yet though, but still gets me excited!

Looking forward to discussing GTA V on here when more details are released, one of the best things about the mains compared to the newbs is the in-depth discussion about this sort of thing.

Not at all surprising to see you straight into this thread VIM  Your love for GTA knows no bounds.

Just been playing a bit of San Andreas, what a game

When the release is nearer, I may go back and replay GTA IV one last time just for the sake of it.

I'll probably get abused for this, but anyway, according to GTA V 'fan forum' Rockstar have released info saying we won't get any new news for a few months 'probably until after Max Payne gets released in May. I'm now wondering if we'll even get it this year or maybe they'll wait until next.

It'll be released in 2013 I think. Maybe even 2014.

Some have speculated that the announcement of GTAV was just to drum up a lot of (relatively extremely cheap) media hype around R* to be utilised for Max Payne 3.

The fact that it exists is good enough for me at the moment though!

If its not late this year it will most likely summer 2013 at the latest, they wouldn't hype a game with an actual in-game trailer for a game not released for 2 years.

Something I hope from this game is that they work on the driving physics and cars a bit more. They were really solid for IV but playing it now, it's frustrating because you can literally feel driving aids kicking in. Take any car in the game and try to drift it like you would in real life, and it's virtually impossible. The easiest way to drift is hand brake, flick the wheel, and the throttle out counter steering too balance the drift. In GTA the car simply bogs down and the 'traction control' prevents any sort of slip. Even if they're adjustable in the options menu, it would add a great deal to gameplay elements.

Also manual options. The first Mafia had a fantastic manual option and it's a shame it's been left out of most open world game since.

I'm not talking about GT and Forza style physics, but just a bit more life like, but capable of adapting to user preference.

People will want to hurt you for bumping this thread with no discernible update to speak off...

Just a forwarning...

Putting aside the pain I want to inflict on you for bumping this thread with no discernible update..... :D

I don't think driving physics are that high a priority for them to be honest. It's a shame because it's definitely something that could improve the game massively, but I don't see it changing much from how it was in IV.

You can pre-book this is Gamestop  That is one way to bring in a couple of quid I suppose.

Grand Theft Auto V will be released in October this year, if the CV of a Rockstar North animator turns out to be accurate.

Character animator Alex O'Dwyer seemed fairly decisive about the launch in his CVs on both Google Documents and LinkedIn. Both were pulled offline swiftly after Joystiq's initial report on the revelation, and Rockstar is yet to respond to requests for comment.

A holiday 2012 launch isn't too far fetched, and would be rather pleasant considering recent reports suggesting the game won't arrive until 2013.

It just seems an irrelevant detail for the purpose of a CV. So he's either a bit of an idiot, or it's been done by Rockstar as Veeva suggested, or it's BS.

How is it irrelevant? "I worked on this game, it's not out yet, and I am not going to tell you when it IS released in case you want to look at it."

"I worked on the animation for the forthcoming GTA V' would be enough.

You would expect that his employment contract with R would restrict what information he's able to give out, and a release date which they'd otherwise be keen to keep to themselves would definitely fall under the normal type of stuff you can't tell people.

Which is why I think he's either an idiot or it's a 'leak'.

Who knows. I don't think an October release date is unrealistic, though. Let's hope so. I don't want to wait until next year.

Don't update this thread without actual new info, you cretinous fecktards.

I am now going to bump this thread on a weekly basis with various random smilies.

To be fair it's the closest to a news update we've had since the debut trailer.

And that they're aiming for it to be released in October means I'll get to play it like in June next year or some shit once they stop pretending that it's OMG ONLY ON XBOX AND PS3.

Like they do with every GTA.

Honestly, I regularly visit the GTA V forum just to see if there are any actual updates and there's shit like this almost every day, it's not even close to an update!

You shouldn't visit that forum Lance you might get a boner from all the official updates.

24th May, rumoured release of more info on the main characters. You heard it here first!
