Golf 2023

We talking aluminium foil thinned or what?

No, literally perfect contact but with a swing way faster than I would ever hit a 7 iron with. Just tried to crush it as far as I possibly could and that was the result. Nice draw on it

Do you mind letting us know what clubs you’re playing?

That is 5-4 iron carry distances….

either that or you should be on long drive tour.

I cannot swing hard with driver consistently, and that goes all the way to 6 iron. 7 iron up, I feel confident that 9/10 times I can swing hard if required and make good contact. Any par 4 350 yards or less I’m taking 7 iron off the tee and at the moment I average 4.07 on par 4s. As soon as driver or a wood comes out on the tee, it’s anyone’s guess what’s going to happen at the moment.

Anyone watch "seb on golf" ? Just watched a video with him, rick, Peter Finch and some tik tok fella I think.

How is he a golf YouTube person? His swing looks fecking dreadful and he's a right annoying little cnut. I'm guessing he's just a rich kid?

That swing is truly awful. He got to play Augusta the day After the masters too

That is shooting some golf.

Greenbrier courses can defo be had at the right time. He basically turned the track into an executive course. Props to him.

I watched his round highlights. Was averaging over 190 ball speed, 320 carry and a perfect draw.

I was thinking about getting new irons recently, so went to have a look at prices. The price of golf clubs these days is absolutely outrageous! 1500 quid for the new Titleist range, what is the justification for that. I got a brand new set of Srixon for 650 quid 4/5 years ago.

Go on Google and look at the price of the new Callaway “Great Big Bertha” irons.

Find a used set with the shafts you need regarding flex & length. Throw some grips on them & they will be new for you.

I'd be getting custom fit, past the point of guessing if clubs are right for me!

Only way its even remotely justifiable in my mind is to tell yourself you're spending 150 a year and you'll have them for 10 years.

You can take your current clubs in to be custom fit. Any reputable club pro, etc. can adjust the lie / loft / length with minimal fuss.

But there would be a sense of confidence getting a brand new set tailored exactly to your specs.

I'm sure I'll upgrade before that so it's a hard sell haha.

I got custom fit for my last clubs, wouldn't buy off the rack again, no point.
