Harman…. if anyone has ever putted their way to victory it’s this guy

How cool is that to play the Open Championship on your home course, hang around 15th. place all day, & birdieing the final hole in front of family & friends?

Sometimes not being able to hit it out of one’s shadow works out there. Harman isn’t able to reach some of the danger today in the dampness.

I’ve always felt that, over the years, the Open rewarded the longest hitters the least. As someone who has never been a power hitter in baseball or golf, that pleases me.

Perhaps it’s just me…. find Sky golf commentators to be so incredibly boring.

Compare them to Peter Alliss and Wayne Grady.

This is wild. I’ve played this course a few times. Never knew he grew up on it.

Same, played it more times than I can count. Didn’t know that was his home course either.

A colleague of mine grew up with Harmon & consistently beat him soundly until around 15/16, said he was easily the worst of the group of guys that grew up in the subdivision & called SB their home course. He said Harmon all of a sudden grew to the height he is now, found balance in his golf swing, then went on a run as a junior amateur that helped pave his way into college & then the tour.

Gotta love a story like that.

Nah, the BMW is usually pretty good. I think it’s the best tournament of the fedex. Tour Championship is just fun to watch and birdie heaven
Just can't get interested in the TC, they basically assault that course & it just rolls over for them. Sad because they could make that course difficult as it is a great layout & a test if allowed to be.

I'd love to see a stableford tourney format for the TC, really incentivize going deep.

My joy of golf was when playing old school courses as that's what I grew up playing on, I just can't get my head around the typical PGA course's set up.

Couldn't miss a fairway with driver yesterday, long and straight.

Couldn't hit an iron if my life depended on it though. Keep low hooking the ball. Not quite sure what it is I've changed. Delofting the club somehow? Not really sure.

I sacrificed a couple of clubs in junior tourneys, but I never had (a) a club repair trailer on site & (b) a birdie putt after them...
