Did you mean to quote me? Because that's not what I'm saying at all. I'm in no way defending what he's alleged to have done.
I'm just saying it's possible to despise the person and their acts and still enjoy the memories of what they did on the pitch.

And why should i hate giggs? He was my favorite idol. I still listed him as my favorite idols in here until that news confirmed. As a human being with my own standar of moral i compare myself with my subject. Am i capable of that? If i am then maybe he's as human as me such as using drugs, or watching porn, or probably pays for sex... it's understanble. Not because its right in the purest sense. But i accept that people make mistakes.

As far as Im aware Giggs has never been charged of child abuse and I pray he never is; but if he has indeed beaten this woman up then he deserves everything he gets and should be kicked out of football as should any footballer who brings not only himself, his club and country into shame but the game itself. For many years now footballers like Giggs have been extremely well paid and cossetted but with that comes responsibility, not just to the club and the supporters but again to the game itself and the generations that follow. Footballers are role models and should act as such. Playing football at such a high level is not just a job, its a privilege.

If anything it’s probably harder to stay humble and grounded. Everywhere you go you have people rolling over to your every whim. Your worshipped and have a god like status amongst many people, so sometimes it can have the opposite effect.
