I assume you support Atletico? (That's about the same as you assuming a Karlsruhe supporter would like Stuttgart - they are regional rivals)

And it's not yet guaranteed that they'll play the Supercup, first Leverkusen need to win the cup, otherwise it would be Leverkusen - Kaiserslautern.

I messed that one up, i only read location, time for me to start reading properly...

38 goals today in 9 matches... an insane total as well

Hradecky giving the plate to the fans

Really some special scenes there today.

Farmers are notoriously good on the attack but their defence is porous

Also my my Bayern. 3rd. Like some filthy, dung covered peasants. Aren't you ashamed

They should be. That’s why I’m not keen on Tuchel. Although we should also be ashamed of probably finishing 8th.

What happened to K-town over the decades? They were a top club back in the early 90s from what I recall.

That's exactly his age. And he might think it won't get any better as playing in a CL final as the final match.
And he is probably right in thinking so. Some of his last matches have been absolute world class, so ending his career would feel premature to me. I would completely understand however if he felt that he might not get as much playing time in Dortmund anymore as he would like. So I assume he will will look for an option with more playing time before retirement.

What a final matchday. Biggest surprise for me: Heidenheim most likely will play in Europe next season (Leverkusen need to win the cup final or Dortmund the CL final to see them in the ECL - both winning would mean EL)
Leverkusen and Stuttgart of course had standout seasons, but Heidenheim goes a bit under the radar. Incredible achievement

The German Farmers Revolution WILL be televised!

Also Mainz: not losing at all in their last nine games while playing the likes of Leipzig or Dortmund - winning five, drawing four.

I don’t think this is accurate. If i am reading the rules correctly, Dortmund winning the CL is irrelevant for them, it is only relevant for Frankfurt who would see their EL spot upgraded to a CL one. In such case Germany will be represented by 6 teams in the CL and only 1 team in the EL (Kaiserslautern or Hoffenheim)… Only the Cup final matters to Heidenheim, they will make the ECL if Leverkusen beat Kaiserslautern in that final.

Oh that makes sense... thanks for the correction!

I'd say the DfB should sanction Rostock into bankruptcy, but then these people would just ruin some amateur division..

I was at Dortmund Darmstadt yesterday. Didn't see @do.ob, weird.

Usually I keep an eye out for people, who carry their Bratwurst on a toothpick and tear up while they eat it, but unfortunately I couldn't make it to the game yesterday.

Find it weird how they have a play of match at the end of the season. So in the 2nd Bundesliga division whoever finishes 3rd plays the team who finished in the top relegation position in the first division. I take it if the lower team wins then they get promoted and the other team gets relegated or if the top team wins then they get to stay in the first division?

Yes, that's how it works. Effectively a playoff match.

Leverkusen are 2 games away from an incredible story. I think they’ll be ok against Kaiserslautern, but I’m really not sure about Atalanta, who will be the toughest team they’ve faced in Europe.

Meanwhile Horst Heldt is Union Berlin's new managing director and HSV hires Stefan Kuntz for the same job.
Which one of them is gonna fail first?

Kuntz is a strange one. I was expecting him to remain a coach.

I don't think it's that strange. He changed between coaching and executive roles before.
That's certainly true. I guess I just thought he'd stay in the coaching business for a bit, as his last few stops didn't go too badly.

Maybe he will be your Zidane. Of course you could have simply hired Zidane, to be your Zidane...

I confess that I'm not convinced by Zidane as a coach (unpopular opinion, I know) and didn't want him at Bayern. The idiots in the management/supervisory board have screwed so many people over that hopefully this whole farce of a coaching search is a bit of a reality check for them and they'll be more reserved in future.
Admittedly, I have no idea about Kompany as a coach. After a quick scroll through, it sounds like he wants to play ambitious football with players who are unqualified for it. The latter shouldn't be a problem at Bayern.

Kompany has Eberl written all over him. He's a very similar appointment to Alonso. Have to admit that I'm a bit nervous. I feel Kompany will be a success for you and would have very much preferred a different solution like Flick, Rangnick or Schmidt over him.

Don't be scared. Have trust in Bayern's board and it's issues - they will grind him down like every other manager in the past 5 years.
