Can anyone provide a quick summary as to what a hung parliament means? Does it mean a conservative/labour coalition with May still serving as PM but having less power than she would if it was a majority?

It'll put you at ease to know I'm not from the UK
I want to know too.

I actually see labour doing better than those numbers if that exit poll is done robustly.

Need to see vote percentage but they had momentum.

What does this mean? I really don't get the exit polls. But over the moon that the Torys have been run this close. So is there a strong possibility of a coalition/hung parliament then?

Holy shit this result would be ungovernable.

They mentioned SNP seats too close to call, many of them will be with the Tories. Have to hope they hold on to some more.

Calls an election because she wants to take advantage of Labour and Corbyn's poor reputation. Ends up improving both.

Strong and stable.

Will take a hung a hung parliament. In a way I prefer it over a labour majority (which was never a reality).

Skybet going to have betting on the GE suspended all this time? I wanna lump on a Tory majority now and go to be knowing whatever happens I can come away feeling okayish.

Must be a few SNP/Tory marginals. I couldn't see the SNP only ending up with 34. Absolutely not trusting this.

Imagine all this fuss and we just end up with pretty much the same result as before...

That no party has an overall majority and cannot form a government without co-opting the support of other parties - a coalition as with Tory + Lib Dems last time. Or negotiating support for legislation as they go along

Just use the betfair exchange

What are potential coalitions here then?

Surely not Tories/Lib Dem again?

And Labour said no the SNP.

Tories/Labour German style grand coalition :lol:
