I'm amazed at how vague the Tory manifesto is

Take this:

Promoting British culture around the world
The United Kingdom is home to some of the finest cultural institutions in the world. We will continue to promote those institutions and ensure they have the resources they need to amplify Britain’s voice on the world stage and as a global force for good. We will continue to promote democracy, the rule of law, property entitlements, a free and open media, and accountable institutions in countries and societies across the world.

What does that even mean? Which institutions? How do you currently promote them? How will you continue to do so? Which resources for which institutions? Are you saying the funding for these unspecified cultural institutions will be protected? Or just that you won't cut funding beyond what you judge to be enough to 'amplify Britain's voice on the word stage', whatever that means? How do you currently promote democracy and the rule of law? By refusing to condemn attacks from the media on the judiciary? I guess you want to promote a free and open media? But then you are also criminalising the possession by journalists of leaked material?

Still very happy having Sturgeon as my first minister, class apart from the Westminster lot.

Nuttall's best moment, was when he went on the attack with Sturgeon about the Barnett Formula. At least going by the audience reaction. What few sensible points he might've made were ultimately drowned out by the incessant immigration mantra.

That being said, the Greens could probably benefit their cause by being a bit more single minded.

I would have liked to see the presenter intervened on policy or factual errors from the leaders though. As it was, they could all pretty much say what they liked.

Edit: beaten to it, but it wasn't about that tweet!

Ah.

Totally anecdotal, but one of my parents is saying they might protest vote in response to the social care policies announced today.

It's not the first time the Conservatives have said something like that, nor will it be the last i suspect. It's part of the long road to Indy Ref 2, for which the economy will be a major bone of contention. Of course it can also be a tad cheeky :), particularly with things so up in the air on other fronts.

The Tories only exist to cut taxes. To fund this they want to cut services. Unfortunately for them if they cut services too deep no one would vote for them. Those services they can't cut they privatise, because the people who will own those services are Tories, the taxes come back to them in another manner

We spend 40% of our GDP, that's not particularly low, not sure what are we supposed to cut further. Raising taxes isn't necessarily the answer, there isn't a ROI above a certain point. Simply there aren't any easy answers with an ageing population, if you listen to pricks like Jonathon Bartley you can just raise corporation tax and it's all solved.

Is that 27/1 still available? Best I see on Oddschecker now is 25/1 at Betfair Exchange. Next best is 20/1 at 32Red and 888, then a couple at 18/1. Betfair Sportsbook is now in to 10/1.

It's now between 40/1 and 25/1 for a Labour majority.
Best price on Most Seats market on Oddschecker is 20/1 now with 4 bookies. Another 5 have joined Betfair Sportsbook at 10/1.

Betfair exchange bucking the trend on Labour majority, drifting to 47/1. Next best price on offer is 33/1, worst 20/1.

My home has been inundated with Tory propaganda.
I received a leaflet featuring a photo of May looking her most polished juxtaposed with one of Corbyn looking his very worst. What utterly crass & blatant tactics.

Ah.

And this is stil the most read paper i believe? I doubt they even read the content but the headline is enough to sway it's audience. A country manipulated by Paul Dacre, disgusting situation

Good morning for the tories, Ken Clarke saying he's glad the tory manifesto is uncosted and then Evan Davies completely making a fool of Farron on the costings of reducing immigration

Nothing on Kuenssberg tweet feed yet, lets watch this space. And yes i know its petty but its fun to watch her actions.
