Gary Neville

Perfectly reasonable to dislike what he's become since retiring from football IMO. A massive hypocrite with a track record for sacking people when he always advocates for more time when its not his club.
Honestly, who the feck cares? He's an ex footballer. He's not the perfect, infallible man. He also happens to be an ex United captain who has done more for the club than most people ever will. People used to hate the fact that the media was full of ex scouse - we finally get one of our own basically running the show and fans turn on him. Can't win.

Nev FTW.

He’s is anything but our own in the media.

Well it appears you do.

In every great team exists ducks and eagles, the Neville sisters were ducks. Okay, fine, acceptable but ultimately lucky to have had a career at United, there were better players in the bottom half of the Premier league than these two. Angry little pricks from Bury.

Running the show? For feck sake, are you 12?

I care because I don't care that he sacked someone at Salford?

Gary Neville lucky to have a career at United? :wenger: the feck is wrong with you? Did you bang your head when you woke up this morning? Balls to this, some right odd ones in this thread.

Sounds like you have been listening to Neville about his own career far too much. One of the most nonsensical takes in a thread of nonsensical takes.

That's a shocker of a post. He was brilliant for us right through the best years of the Ferguson era. Absolutely brilliant. I'd give my right arm for a few 'ducks' like him at the moment. Lucky to have a career at United?

I’ve never understood the hate for Neville from mancs. As a Liverpool supporter he was the most hated player on your team but probably one of the most respected because he epitomized what a united player was back then which was smugness and arrogance. I wish we had a Neville on our team back then.

Gary was a fantastic player for us. You must be too young to have actually seen him play for us.

Absolute bollocks mate.

ok , name these players, from his time, in the bottom half of the league in his position.

Bit rich coming from a fanbase that loathes a club legend like Dietmar Hamann because he’s realistic and not deluded like the rest of you.

I find it hilarious how he's recently started to angle himself like Steven Bartlett and Jake Humphrey. You know, one of these life hack guru's and pseudo intellects.

Not true. Calling him out is not the same as hatred. This guy Neville is united through and through. You can tell he lives and dies with club. Some of you have even claimed he wasn’t good enough. We get on Carra but no one hates him and realize he will always be one of us. Owen we are indifferent about because he’s just a mercenary. Hamann was a club legend who calls us out but no one hates him.

I always laugh my ass when people get worked by football players.
My wife is from Croatia, and we have high line rentals aka for footbalers...
I had meet GN, and my honest opinion on him is... Put him in no English speaking country with 100 e. He would die there.
He can thanks to Zanetti for his career. Your Big Man loved him. Just imagine Beckham and Tractor bombing on the right side.

Is this even true? Very few supporters actively hate him. Of course some of us are pissed off at his opinions, overt praise for Liverpool, commentary during United games and such stuff. But I am not sure if anyone actually hates Neville to think he should not have played for United or believes he hates United.

What age are you? You clearly never watched Gary Neville play

Gary (and Carragher too to be fair) are a lot better players than people give them credit for. I remember one period where Neville was absolute shite and that was in the post treble year but other than that he had a remarkably solid career and in particular I remember him having an outstanding season in 06-07. Shaw gets praised a lot on here and rightly so when he plays well but I wish he'd had as many 'solid' seasons as Neville had rather than just one year of him being outstanding and the next being pretty poor or injured.

Brilliant player. Better than Cafu?
Tough question.
They both were world class full backs. But had different style of play.
For me personally, I like Cafu more. He was bombing on that side for Brazil and his teams for long time. But you need admire Zanetti loyality for Inter. He always gave everything for them.

G Neville was so good, that Sir Alex Ferguson was ready to ship Giggs to Inter for Zanetti.

How can a United fan not stand Neville. Assuming you're old enough to have seen him play for the club - how can you hate him? Odd as feck.

Hate is too strong of a word but I can understand why United fans have disliked him since he stopped playing. He’s become an insufferable pundit who spend more time up Klopp and Peps arse than he does trying to talk good about his own football club.

Why does Neville cop all the flack for the managers at Salford there are like 6 owners, if he wanted to keep them all and the other 5 wanted them gone he'd have no choice but to sack them

Have you forgotten Gerrard?

Why does he go off on never-ending tangents several times per half. This isn't a podcast, comment on the fecking match that is happening.
