you can tell from the CBS coverage Carragher is a true football obsessive, whereas I think Neville doesn’t pay much attention outside Utd and England
Carragher is very good at trivia stuff - only one I got before Carragher was Dublin.
He obviously loves United, but just jumps on every negative thing about United and spins it at the end about the Glazers.
It's tiresome. I like The Overlap, but I wish Sky only hired ex managers or even actual sports analysts or something.
Every weekend it's like watching Fan TV.
Yeah and I totally get it. They pay so much in rights, they need to appeal to the masses, which these days means more drama and exaggerated, biased, analysis and narratives.Thats what sky wants. It's why they have youtube fans on the overlap and why they have them on that Saturday social thing. It's why they're always pitting Neville and Carragher in United v Liverpool arguments and why Keane is there. Souness mentioned that the people in the studio are always checking twitter to see if they go viral during the post match reactions and it shows in their discussions.
What goes viral more often: sober and accurate analysis or angry rants?

I used to watch the build-ups and post match. Now I switch over at like 4.29pm and turn off after the game so I don't have to suffer idiots like Daniel Sturridge or Theo Walcott for too long.
I can imagine myself watching with the sound off in a few years. I wish you could toggle commentary like subtitles.
State of this gooner.
He’s a coward. Desperately wants to be seen objective to the point where he would bend over if need be to start licking rivals arse. Bows down to the pressure of rival fans. Scared to say the right things.State of this gooner.
Gary is definitely an Arsenal fan.

How's he saying that isn't handball?! Has he been living under a rock under the last 5 years?
Spurs fan todayState of this gooner.
It’s his version of ‘and it’s live!’.What is with this “ooohhhhhh” every time something happens?

Yeah but we were being punished for the Onana incident v WolvesWasn't a handball when Romero did the same thing against us so...
Exactly.Yeah but we were being punished for the Onana incident v Wolves
Don't think I've hated a commentator as much as this prat now that I have to listen to him regularly on my feed.
i'll never understand why our fans get so wound up by him, amazes me. Top bloke imo.
He talks and acts like a top bloke but if you look a little closer you’ll see he’s a dickhead. Showed his true colours in Qatar during the World Cup
I like him as a pundit. He knows a lot about the game and seems down to earth. I much prefer him in the studio than in the commentary box though as he comes out with the odd howler in-game.i'll never understand why our fans get so wound up by him, amazes me. Top bloke imo.
I get that some folk are irritated by him and his type, but to suggest the man, who has done more for our club that anyone on here, doesn’t love United is genuinely puzzling to me.

On the international feed.Where have you been for a decade
I think going against your club to further your career rubs a lot of fans up the wrong way. It doesn’t hurt Jamie or Micah but here we are with Gary.I get that some folk are irritated by him and his type, but to suggest the man, who has done more for our club that anyone on here, doesn’t love United is genuinely puzzling to me.
