Neither good enough to be replace Evra or our first choice left winger. He made the right choice with Spurs and all the opportunities are helping with his progress into a top player. What we really missed out on recent transfer bargains were Sneijder and Ramsey.

He wasnt all that good against City, but he did set up the great chance Crouch missed. Modric was even less impressive, but once again he was involved in finding Bale wide on the left to supply Crouch with the chance he missed.
Yep. Modric and Bale were mildly anonymous - Modric moreso than Bale, who did create a couple of decent chances.

This season he's been more consistant than last, and as such a better player IMO. Last season the hype-machine was going into overdrive.
That was really aimed at Diabolique, he has progressed beyond 'play the square ball on the halfway line and run into space behind the fallback for the return'. It makes last season's nonsense look even more dumb.
Last season was more of an injury-hit, inconsistent season for him - there were just a couple of incredible highs that got him all the attention. He looked better in the second half of 09/10 and the first half of this season, which is when he has looked a very good player well capable of playing at the top level.
