SSN "No bid from United for Bale"
though doesn't rule out interest.
There may be interest from us, but there's not a cat's chance in hell we'll bid £80+mill on ANY player, let alone Bale!!
If post match is the interview you're referring to then Moyes didn't really confirm or deny whether it was us. Just a cheeky grin. TrollMoyes says it's not us ,and the sun go with 125 mil for Bale,Like the transfer forum ignore the facts and make it all up.

But yeah, not denying in journalism these days = United definitely bid.
Apparently off the TV cameras in the press room, he confirmed to other journalists we have not bid for Bale.

DM Quotes in the Metro newspaper, my local..
"I said at the start when I got the job that Manchester United will always be interested in the best players and we're always looking to try to improve the team.”
"It's been tough in this window but we're always looking at the best players. I can't give you any more."
"I'd be extremely surprised if Bale doesn't join Real Madrid in the next couple of days.
"Man United would be in position to do a deal of that magnitude if they wished. It would be hugely disappointing for Bale if it [the Real move] didn't happen.
"Good players are always targets and he's been a consistently good player. It's no surprise that he's attracted massive attention."
Former Wales and Manchester United winger Mickey Thomas tells BBC Sport that there is a belief at Old Trafford that Tottenham's 24-year-old forward Gareth Bale is on his way to Old Trafford rather than Real Madrid.
Thomas said: "The whispers around [Manchester United] are that he's Old Trafford-bound.
"That might be more in hope than anything else but it could happen, because by all accounts Real Madrid have not got all the money to put down for Gareth Bale and by all accounts they owe money [to Spurs] for Luka Modric."
So really Mourinho is pissing off Real even after his departure?Meanwhile the Spanish press, the As wing now backed by El Mundo and a couple of other nationals who are close to Madrid say the deal was done at 90m Euros (78m quid) last week.
It was on temporary hold pending new arrivals at Spurs. Bale went to Marbella for the weekend. Madrid put up the podium (and accidentally added him to the shirt sales list). Mourinho went shopping. Levy got pissed off with Madrid's preparations and reopened bidding.
Levy may be looking for some kind of compensation for emotional distress like that last couple of million he squeezed out of us on the Berbatov deal, as moral compensation for us tapping up their player. However that just-under-the-record thing is quite a sensitive issue for Madrid and they don't plan to join in an auction.
Incidentally it sounds like it's a stage payments (over three years) deal not a cash one.
They still think Bale will be arriving this week.
Is it true there has been absolutely no comment by Bale?
Nothing at all in public for weeks. In private he's supposed to have told Welsh teammates he won't be playing for Spurs again and said goodbye to Spurs players. However as he's back training today, maybe it was just a hasta luego that he said.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/23846847Spanish national daily sports newspaper Marca is reporting that Real Madrid could announce the signing on Tottenham forward Gareth Bale in the next few hours.
The story says: "Real Madrid's bosses trust that they will be able to officially announce the signing of Gareth Bale this very Tuesday, and that the midfielder will arrive in Madrid to be presented on Wednesday, the day before playing in the Teresa Herrera Trophy against Deportivo at Riazor."
So why not say it at the press conference?
Just that a few commented he wouldn't go to United as he 'wants' to go to Real Madrid, the only thing that is obvious for me is he wants to take the next step to a bigger team such as MU/RM/Barca etc, Spurs are still a good tier behind, but there isn't anything that I know of to suggest his interest in RM is so concrete that it couldn't be swayed, however I move to confirm that I am not saying we are interested or that any of this is real, but I don't see why people assume he is set on Madrid..
Well if Barca turned round tommorow and said they wanted Bale here's the money.. He is hardly going to turn round and say 'Madrid only' so i doubt he would do the same to us.
Saving face - he wants to show we are bidding for the best players, without actually confirming or denying if we did or not.
He has said the same for other players when asked. I truelly believe Madrid already have the deal wrapped up.
Did Ronaldo get a stand? I don't remember him getting one like this.
