My bad. I thought there was reputable sources reporting it would happen on Tuesday, just the unreliable AS - although if the stage thing is actually for a signing then it does look pretty inevitable.

I dont think Rooney will have a problem fitting into the Chelsea especially given the fact that Mou and him love each other and want to work with each other and lets be honest, they do have a better squad than us but if Mata is in anyway involved in this deal, we HAVE to jump at that.

There are rumours that Arsenal have bid for Lamela, which apparently has come from a reputable source, although I can't seem to find where the story originated from - Glaston should be on suicide watch if he signs for Arsenal.

Sky Sources that Spurs haven't accepted Madrid's offer and that Spurs are considering offers from more than one club. Doubt anyone else would pay anywhere near £86m though.

I doubt Monaco would be willing to spend that kind of cash after a very busy summer already. Also Bale wouldnt even consider joining one of those clubs. He wouldnt be able to play alongside his biggest idol there.

The fact that hardly any other team can come close to offering Spurs what Madrid are allegedly offering, and that Bale seems to have his heart set on a move there, makes it a very poor bluff from Spurs.

Depends what way you look at it. I think the € to £ is slightly better now so if it was say, £81m then yes in £ but no in €. If it was £78m which it seems Real are unwilling to go above because they don't actually want to break the record for Bale, then no, for sure.
